 an Elder today.  Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

A warm welcome to our visitors and members alike.  We rejoice at the

joy Christ brought to the world so long ago.  May such joy live within

us as we worship the Lord.  Please take a moment and sign your name

TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages

 3 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION newly elected Consistory

 members will be held today.

2017 CONSISTORY OFFICERS:  The Consistory Officers were

 elected as follows and will be confirmed at the January meeting.

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL class will meet in the Consistory

 Room following the morning worship service.  They cover various

 subject matter using the Sunday School Guide. 

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting at Grace for our evening

 service tonight through the end of April.  Rev. Harvey Hertz will be 

 sharing the message each week. 

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS: Please be in prayer for Geri Ruis at

 Butterworth.  Linda Kraft’s knee surgery has been delayed until

 February. Please keep her in your prayers as she waits.  Shari Dood

 underwent hand surgery on Friday.  For all other prayer requests and

 praise reports, please see the Prayer & Praise line in your bulletin

 today.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER –  GEMS will be sponsoring a

 Soup Supper!  Come out and support the girls and have fellowship

 with each other prior to the evening classes!

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE. 

 6:45 – 8:00 PM GEMS, VICTORS, and BE BIG will meet.

 7:00 – 8:00 PM ADULTS

 FORGIVING THOSE WHO HURT US – Class meets in

 the Consistory Room.  This upcoming week we will be

 finishing our discussion on Chapter 11 and beginning our study

 on Chapter 12 in Lewis Smedes' book "The Art of Forgiving –

 When You Need to Forgive and Don't Know How."  We would

 love to have you join us!  If you need a book or study guide,

 please let Lorinda know.

 

NEXT SUNDAY, JANUARY 15, 2017

 

 NEXT SUNDAY we will CELEBRATE THE LORD’S SUPPER. 

 Pastor Rick will share the Message “Who is Mephibosheth?” from

 II Samuel 9:1-13.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We are thankful today for our Consistory members who give of their time and talents here at Grace.  We are thankful to Pastor Rick for his care for this congregation.
  • We give praise to God for our children.  We thank Heather Dood for all she does with the youth groups at Grace and the Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she continues her studies to become a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • We pray today for those who mourn.  We pray for Juan & Michelle Pena and family following the death of Juan’s father in El Salvador.  We also pray for safety for Juan as he travels there. 
  • Continue to keep Geri Ruis in your prayers.
  • Keep Kathy De Ruiter in your prayers as she learned she will need to have surgery to reattach ligaments. 
  • Please be in prayer for Char Otto.  Char has been experiencing back pain.  Please pray for answers and a relief from her pain.
