We joyously welcome you to Grace Reformed Church! 

Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in

having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and

address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

 

TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S

 SUPPER.  We invite all those who are members of Christ’s Church

 and have found forgiveness of sins in Him, to participate in the

 supper.  A brief Communion Service will be held in the

 Chapel following the service for anyone who was not able

 to be present during the worship service.  If you are aware of

 someone who is not here today, but would like to receive this

 sacrament, please contact the church office.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ for kids ages 3 years – 5th

 grade starts back up today with a fun summer theme “Be a Hero for  

 God”.  Today’s scripture comes from Matthew 4.  Meet downstairs by

 the youth desk.

 

MUSIC MINISTRY – Christy Cooper will provide our special music

 this morning.  Thank you Christy for being with us today!  We also

 thank Paul Kerkstra and the choir for their number this morning.

 

PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – Pastor Rick will be leading the combined

 evening services beginning this week.  We will be meeting at Faith

 Reformed Church July – August and at Beverly from September –

 November.  See the insert in your bulletin today with the details.

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS:  For all praise reports and prayer concerns,

 see the prayers and praise line in your bulletin today.

 

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to the Boeve family:

 John & Tymie; Tim & Lyndsey, Addison & Nylah; Kerri and Hayden;

 and Chelsea and Ryan.  John’s father, Al Boeve, passed away on

 Sunday July 9 at the age of 83. Services were held on Wednesday,

 July 12 at Faith Community Church.

 

OUR Y-LIFE MISSION TRIP GROUP left this morning at 5:30 am!

 Those going on the trip are: Abby Kubiak, Mary Kubiak, Reece

 Wigent, Brielle Wigent, Brendan Marshall, Kaedra Adam; Leaders,

 Heather Dood and Ray Zondervan; along with the youth from

 Newhall. They will be serving in Gatlinburg, TN.  Please keep them

 in your prayers as they travel and work this week.

 

NEXT WEEK, JULY 23, 2017

 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will share the message:  “The Witch of

 Endor: Size Medium”.  For our evening service we will be meeting with

 our sister churches at Faith Reformed at 6:00 pm. 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

THE CONSISTORY MEETING scheduled for tomorrow, July 17, has

 been CANCELED!  Next scheduled meetings will take place on

 August 21.

 

PRAISE TEAM – No practices July 17, 24, & 31.  You will resume

 practice in August. 

 

GRACE CHURCH PICNIC…SAVE THE DATE!

 A church picnic is planned for Saturday, August 19 from 4:00 –

 7:30 pm.  More details to follow!

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of July is designated for

 CRAN HILL RANCH.  This offering will be received on July 30.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God today for Pastor Rick and Donna and their work at Grace Church. 
  • We are so thankful today for summer camps such as Cran Hill Ranch and Camp Geneva.  We are thankful that our Grace kids; Garrett Zondervan, Lilly & Riley Dood, and Addison Boeve were able to spend last week at Cran Hill Ranch.  We pray that all the kids that attend summer camp will grow to know Jesus better and have a closer walk with Him.
  • Keep our Y-Life group and leaders in your prayers as they serve this week in Gatlinburg, TN.
  • We remember in our prayers our Discovery Kidz as they go through the summer months.  We pray for fun times, discovery, and a closer relationship to Jesus. 
  • We pray for Heather as she prepares for Discovery Kidz summer session, fall events, and her final exams as she works toward becoming a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections. We pray for the youth and adults that attend each week.  We pray for them as they continue to grow and expand.  We pray for their block parties that are taking place in the neighborhoods.
  • We remember in our prayers those who have recently lost loved ones.  In particular we remember the Boeve family.  We thank God for the life of Al Boeve and his eternal life in Heaven.
  • Please pray for the Transition team as they continue their work.
  • Keep Jerry Hendrickson in your prayers as he continues testing and the doctors decide on the best course of treatment.
  • Please continue to remember our Grace members and members of their families who are in need of healing, comfort, and strength.  Esther Hoag; Char Otto; Shirley De Bruin; Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul;  Janet, sister of Wes Dekker; Lana, granddaughter of Ken & Cindy Wylie.
