 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today.  Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin.  You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.



We joyously welcome you to Grace Reformed Church! 

Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in

having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your

name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.





 SUPPER.  We invite all those who are members of Christ’s Church

 and have found forgiveness of sins in Him, to participate in the

 supper.  A brief Communion Service will be held in the Chapel

 following the service for anyone who was not able to be present

 during the worship service.  If you are aware of someone who is not

 here today, but would like to receive this sacrament, please contact

 the church office.


WE WELCOME Josh and Alissa Crooks to our service.  They will share

 with us about their ministry with TeachBeyond and the Black Forest

 Academy.  The Mission Outreach Team along with Consistory has

 decided that we will share their support beginning in January 2017. 

 We will also have a special offering for them at Thanksgiving time. 

 Thank you, Josh & Alissa, for being with us today!


DISCOVERY KIDZ will be taking a short break this summer.  Class

 will resume NEXT WEEK with a special summer theme, Cooking

 With Jesus! We will tie it all into the Fruits of the Spirit and

 why they are important!


CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available today at the sound board or

 narthex table.


A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.


6:00 PM JOINT EVENING WORSHIP – We will be meeting at

 FAITH Reformed Church (618 32nd St SW, Wyoming)

 tonight for worship!




NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the next section of

 messages in the series “You Better Believe It”.  See the insert in your

 bulletin today for all the information.  For our evening service we will

 meet at Faith Reformed Church.




PRAISE TEAM – will practice TOMORROW, July 18, 7:00 pm. 


OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of July is designated for

 Cran Hill Ranch.  It will be received on July 31st.


BACKPACK DRIVE – We will be combining with Beverly Reformed

 Church for the 2016 Operation Backpack!  Backpacks will be

 distributed to those who visit the food truck at Beverly on August 11. 

 Start shopping now for sales on backpacks and supplies. Please have

 your donations to Grace by July 27th.

Prayers & Praise Line

July 17, 2016


Congregational Prayers and Praise


  • We thank and praise God today for the gift of music.  We give thanks for Paul Kerkstra, for his time and dedication to the music program here at Grace. 
  • We pray today for Josh and Alissa Crooks as they prepare to leave for Kandern, Germany and begin their mission work.
  • We are so thankful today for Christian Camps such as Cran Hill Ranch and Camp Geneva and the counselors that spend the summer with the kids.  We are thankful that our Grace kids have the opportunity to spend a week at camp.  We pray that many lives may be touched through the time spent there.
  • We remember in our prayers our Discovery Kidz as they go through the summer months.  We pray for fun times, discovery, and a closer relationship to Jesus.  We pray for Ms. Heather as she prepares for their summer session and fall events.
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week. We pray for Connections as they reach out to the neighborhood through summer block parties and other activities through the week. 
  • Remember Linda Kraft’s son, Rob De Vries, in your prayers.  He is in intensive care at Butterworth Hospital fighting an infection.
  • Please keep McLain Grimm in your prayers as she heals after falling from a trampoline.
  • Please continue to keep Sandy Workman in your prayers.  We pray for continued healing and a complete return to health and strength. 
  • We pray today for Bob Tofferi.  We thank and praise God for successful surgery and that he is back at his home recovering.
  • Remember Ethan, 11 year old grandson of Ed & Kathy De Ruiter, in your prayers.  He was hospitalized this past week for an emergency shunt replacement surgery. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she undergoes chemotherapy.
  • We pray for Sally Herrema as she continues therapy on her leg.
  • We continue to keep Tymie Boeve in our prayers.  We pray for understanding, encouragement, continued healing and strength. Also, please remember Tymie’s mom in your prayers.  She has just recently been diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We ask for prayers for Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet as she has had a setback due to recent surgery. 
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Continue to lift up Josh Sawyer in prayer as he is at the Great Lakes Naval Station for A School. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Betty Figueroa, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.


As other prayers are shared, you are invited to writethem down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week.Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praises.
