TODAY AT GRACE

 

TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S

 SUPPER. We invite all those who are members of Christ’s Church

 and have found forgiveness of sins in Him, to participate in the

 supper. A brief Communion Service will be held in the

 Chapel following the service for anyone who was not able

 to be present during the worship service. If you are aware of

 someone who is not here today, but would like to receive this

 sacrament, please contact the church office.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC this morning is presented by Robin

 Zondervan of our congregation! Thank you Robin for sharing with us

 today.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and the new church start. All are welcome.

HEALTH CONCERNS – Nate Zondervan is doing well following

 surgery. Deb Pierce remains at Blodgett Hospital. For all other

IN APPRECIATION – I would like to thank all my Grace friends for

 their prayers, cards, and words of encouragement following my

 recent surgery and recovery. Thanks to Pastor Rick for the calls

 and visits. ~Ron Engels

 

 I really want to say “Thank You” to my Grace family for all your

 prayers, cards and support when I had my surgery and while

 recuperating. A special thank you to Pastor Rick for his visits and

NEXT SUNDAY morning Pastor Rick continue the series of messages

 “WORLD CLASS CHRISTIANITY” with the message “Dignity,

 Reform, and Education”. Join us at 6:00 pm at the Crossing for

 the evening service as we continue the study of Jeremiah. 

 

SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of July is designated for

 WESTERN SEMINARY. This special offering will be received next

 Sunday.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ are looking towards the fall and will be in need of

 glue sticks, crayons, scissors, and construction paper. When you

 start to see “Back to School” sales, please keep the Discovery Kidz in

 mind! Thanks so much for your continued support!

 

GEMS POOL PARTY – Girls…save August 18 for a fun pool party at

 the VanderWal’s. Swimming and games from 3 – 6 pm. Parents are

 invited too!

 

BELONGING NEW MEMBERS CLASS – For those who have

 shown an interest in membership here at Grace, a class will be

 offered in September. This class will explore what it means to belong

 to Jesus Christ and His church. More information is available on the

 narthex table.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

 

 Please pray for Connections families and those whose lives they will

 touch as we reach out to the surrounding community this summer in 

 our “Block Parties”. The next Block Party is this week Thursday for

 the families on Royal Oak and 32nd Street just north of church. 

  • Pray that we will build relationships of trust with the families.
  • Pray that we share freely the change God has made in our lives.
  • Pray that entire families will be touched with the good news.
  • Pray that as a result new families join in God’s plan for Connections.

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

share a Prayer Request or a Praise Report.

  • “To God be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done”. Praise the Lord today for the good things he has done in your life.
  • Thank and praise God today for loving relationships, for family and friends who walk through life by our side.
  • We pray today for healing and strength for Deb Pierce, Ron Engels and Ellsworth Johnson following surgery.
  • Keep little Nate Zondervan in your prayers as he heals following surgery.
  • Remember Joan Patterson in your prayers following her move to the Laurels of Hudsonville.
