PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Ron Engels returned home on Thursday.

Please keep Ron in your prayers as he begins the healing and rehab

process. Deb Pierce underwent surgery to amputate her foot on

Friday, July 6 at Blodgett Hospital. She will be hospitalized for

awhile as she will undergo her rehab there as well. Joan Patterson

continues to be hospitalized at Butterworth. She did have a

procedure on Thursday to put in two more drains that will hopefully

help with her pain. Today we ask for special prayers for all the

caregivers to our members listed. We pray especially for Barb

Engels, Brian & Sandy Gort, Louise Grimm and Lisa Pierce. We pray

for strength and energy. May God’s love and presence be felt by all.

For all other prayer requests and praise reports, see the Prayers &

Praise Line in your bulletin today.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

Please pray for Connections families and those whose lives they will

touch as we reach out to the surrounding community this summer in

our “Block Parties”. The next Block Party is scheduled for July 26 for

the families on Royal Oak and 32nd Street just north of church.

  • Pray that we will build relationships of trust with the families.
  • Pray that we share freely the change God has made in our lives.
  • Pray that entire families will be touched with the good news.
  • Pray that as a result new families join in God’s plan for Connections.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

Please call the office if you would like to

share a Prayer Request or a Praise Report.

  • Keep Joan Patterson in your prayers. Joan remains at Butteworth Hospital.
  • We remember Deb Pierce in our prayers as she begins the healing process and starts therapy.
  • We pray today for healing and strength for Ron Engels and Ellsworth Johnson following surgery.
  • Samantha Johnson also continues to improve! She has been able to get out and about a bit and the wound is healing nicely. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she regains all her strength and the healing continues.
  • We thank and praise God for good reports on Doris Ver Merris who is doing well.
  • Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Mitch Dekker, Brent Wenzel, Adam Simons, Justin Roelofs.
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Curt Boes, Dan De Vries, and Carl Kleymeer
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Anne Hoezee, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris, Mrs. Janet Yonkers.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
