ELDERS INVITATION - If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available

 in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.




9:30 AM – Marketplace Workers Training Session. If you

 were not at the meeting this morning, please see Heather downstairs

 following the service.


9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own worship service.


Our SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of June is designated for

 “One Sunday” . See the insert in your bulletin today for all the



6:00 PM – A Combined Pentecost Service will be held with our

 sister churches at Faith Reformed Church. Pastor Bruce Osbeck,

 Pastor Harvey Hertz, and Pastor Rick will take part. The evening

 offering is designated for “One Sunday”. 




HEALTH CONCERNS – Mary Huizen is recovering at the home of

 her daughter Joy. Phyllis Vander Sloot will have outpatient foot

 surgery on Wednesday. Joan Patterson will undergo surgery on

 Thursday, the 16th at Metropolitan Hospital. See the Prayer and

 Praise Line for all prayer requests and praise reports.


GENERAL SYNOD will be meeting this upcoming week at Calvin

 College. Larry Kleymeer is our Elder Delegate. See the insert in your

 bulletin listing the Special Events that you are invited to attend.


OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Wes & Arlene

 Dekker upon the death of Arlene’s brother, Marvin Witvliet, on

 Wednesday, June 8. 


CONGRATULATIONS to Don & Lillian Vander Veen who celebrate

 their 59th Anniversary today. They have provided cake for us to enjoy

 today to celebrate!

DISCOVERY KIDZ are STILL in need of one person for games on

 June 26 and July 10. If you can help both of those dates or just one,

 please see Heather or sign up in the narthex! 


GENERAL SYNOD – The 205th Reformed Church in America General

 Synod will be held on the campus of Calvin College from June 16-21. 

 They are looking for a variety of volunteers to serve their

 transportation and hospitality needs:

  • VAN DRIVERS – Our vans will be used on June 13, 14, & 15 to pick up delegates from the airport and transport them to Calvin College. A few four hour time slots are still available. A sign up sheet is on the narthex table. Can you help drive our van?? Call the office if you have any questions.


  • DELEGATE HOSTS FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 19! Sunday morning local churches are being asked to host General Synod delegates at their own church. You will be asked to provide transportation to and from our church. Someone who could drive our van to transport would be ideal. A lunch time meal is not required! Call the office if you would be willing to host!



 GRACE MARKET DAYAs another fundraiser for the Chiapas

 Mexico Mission Trip, Grace will be hosting ‘GRACE MARKET DAY’

 in the parking lot! This will be a Flea Market and Craft Sale! We will

 divide the parking area at Grace into lots which will be open to

 vendors to rent. Items for sale will include crafts and rummage

 items, as well as a Concession Stand and Baked Goods sale. YOU

 could help by

  • Volunteering to help plan, set up, and work at the sale
  • Be a Vendor at the sale or get your friends to be a Vendor
  • Donate good used or new items to our Grace Flea Market area
  • Donate baked goods to be sold


 In the narthex you will find the sheets where you can sign up to help

 in any way! Craft Vendor Forms are also on the table……please take

 one and give it to someone you know who would like to be a Vendor

 at our Market Day!


TREASURER UPDATE: To God be the GLORY! As a Consistory, we

 wanted to thank you, our congregation, in support of the many

 ministries happening here at Grace. We are pleased to be making our

 budget so far to date and have recently received and deposited a

 $200,000 gift from one of our member's estate. The Consistory is in

 much prayer about how to invest this incredible gift into further

 ministry at Grace Reformed Church and welcome your input before

 our next meeting on 7/25. Please share your thoughts with your

 favorite consistory member and also pray for God to help further

 ministry here at Grace.

A COOKIE SIGN UP SHEET is in the narthex. If you would like to

 make cookies for our fellowship time on Sunday mornings, sign up

 and Shari will call you to make arrangements.


PICTURES WANTED – We are working on a slide show for Father’s

 Day. We would love to have a picture of you with your kids, or with

 your father. Please submit your photo to Robin Zondervan at . If you are not able to submit by email,

 you can drop off your photo in the office. Please have them

 submitted by June 15. Thank you!


Local Opportunity for helping on a Habitat for

 Humanity BUILD! Churches and Habitat are partnering in the

 ‘Faith United Build’ which will impact 50 families on the southeast

 side of GR. Check out the article in the Galaxy and respond by calling

 Shari or sign up on the sheet in the narthex!

Church Plant Prayer Focus


Pray for Pastor George as he continues to build relationships.

  1. Please be in prayer for Heather Dood as she goes through this very busy week of VBS and then is scheduled to have the baby on Friday!
  2. Aaron Bak, a regular VBS volunteer and was active in Club, was hit on 36th Street & Byron Center while riding his bike last Saturday. He suffered a number of injuries including breaking his leg which required surgery. Remember Aaron in your prayers this week.
  3. We thank God for the many who have volunteered to help again this year at VBS. Please pray for energy for the volunteers and that many kids may come to know God this week.
  4. We pray today for those who mourn the loss of a loved one. In particular we pray today for Wes & Arlene Dekker and family.
  5. Please keep Al Schreuder in your prayers as he recovers from Typhoid Fever.
  6. Remember Mary Huizen in your prayers as she regains her strength following surgery.
  7. Keep Joan Patterson and Phyllis Vander Sloot in your prayers this week as they undergo surgery.
  8. A special prayer request for Dan De Vries, brother of Lisa Braendle, who is having testing done on Friday in California for a rare Lymphoma disease.
  9. We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Amee Bekkering, daughter of Dick & Ruth Locke; Tyler Huisman, nephew of Wes & Linda Lowing; Larry VerMerris, son of Ruth Vermerris, who has undergone extensive chemo and radiation and is in recovery from pancreatic cancer.
  10. Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko, Dave

 Vander Berg.

  1. Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Anne Hoezee, Mrs Janet Yonkers.
