DISCOVERY KIDZ will be taking a short break this summer.  No

 Discovery Kidz from June 12 – July 17.  Class will resume on July 24  

 with a special summer theme!

 Hermina is a member of Blythefield Christian Reformed Church.

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Keith Baker was released from the hospital

 and he and Carolyn have gone ahead with their trip.  Sandy

 Workman returned to her home on Wednesday.  Betty Figueroa has

 moved into a care home.  Her new address is:  4047 – 56th Street,

 Wyoming, 49418.  Please keep her in your prayers as she makes the

 transition.  See the Prayers & Praise Line for all other prayer requests

 and praise reports.

 

NEXT WEEK, JUNE 19, 2016

Father’s Day

NEXT SUNDAY Rev. Dale Matthews will lead our service and share

 the message.  We will meet at Beverly Reformed Church for our

 evening service.

PRAISE TEAM – Practice tomorrow, June 13, 7:00 pm.

THE NEXT CONSISTORY meeting will be held on June 27 at

 7:30 pm.  Elders will meet at 6:30 pm.

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of June is designated for

 World Renew. World Renew and Reformed Church World Service

 are now working together as a disaster response, development and

 justice organization working for love, life, justice, and mercy around

 the world.  This special offering will be received on June 25. 

 

HANDYMAN NEEDED to hang curtains and shades at the Crossing.

 If you are willing to help out with that, please contact Heather or the

 office.

 

CALLING ALL YOUTH!!  Ms. Heather needs your help designing a

 new t-shirt or hoodies for Grace. (Hint: there are many design

 templates just google church t-shirt templates.) Deadline to turn in

 suggestions will be Aug 7th. Winner will get dinner with Ms. Heather.

 

OLD COOKBOOKS - Anyone have any old cookbooks that the

 Discovery Kidz could use as decorations? If so place on Children's

 check in desk by July 10th.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God for the warm weather and a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature.  We pray for those who are able to take time off and enjoy vacations and time away.  We pray for safe travels and rejuvenation. 
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week. We pray for Connections as they gear up for the work of summer block parties. 
  • We pray today for Brian & Abbey Licari’s son Logan who broke his shoulder this past week. 
  • We thank God that Sandy Workman was able to return to her home.  We pray for complete healing. 
  • We pray today for Bob Tofferi.  We pray that he may experience continued strengthening.
  • We lift up Keith Baker in prayer today.  We pray that their trip will go well and Keith will remain healthy.
  • Continue to lift up Josh Sawyer in prayer as he is at the Great Lakes Naval Station for A School. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she undergoes chemotherapy.
  • We pray for Sally Herrema as she continues therapy on her leg.
  • We continue to keep Tymie Boeve in our prayers.  We pray for understanding, encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We ask for prayers for Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet as she has had a setback due to recent surgery. 
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Betty Figueroa, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
