TODAY we welcome Rev. Dale Matthews to our pulpit.  Pastor Dale

 was the Pastor of Christ’s Community Church of Fort Wayne from

 1997 until his retirement in 2014.  Thank you for being with us this

 Lord’s Day!


DISCOVERY KIDZ will be taking a short break this summer.  Class

 will resume on July 24 with a special summer theme!  Children’s

 bulletins are available at the sound board or narthex table.


A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.


6:00 PM JOINT EVENING WORSHIP – We will be meeting at

 Beverly Reformed Church (2141 Porter) tonight for worship!




HEALTH CONCERNS –  Please be in prayer for Bob Tofferi who is

 scheduled for heart surgery tomorrow at the Meijer Heart Center. 

 See the Prayers & Praise Line for all other prayer requests and praise





NEXT SUNDAY – Pastor Rick will continue the “You Better Believe It”

 series with the message:  “I Believe in Sharing My Faith”.  We will

 meet at Beverly Reformed Church for our evening service.


THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of June is designated for

 World Renew. World Renew and Reformed Church World Service

 are now working together as a disaster response, development and

 justice organization working for love, life, justice, and mercy around

 the world.  This special offering will be received next Sunday. 




PRAISE TEAM – Practice tomorrow, June 20, 7:00 pm.


MISSION OUTREACH TEAM will meet on Tues., June 21 at 7 pm.


THE NEXT CONSISTORY meeting will be held on June 27 at

 7:30 pm.  Elders will meet at 6:30 pm.




NEEDED!  Are you interested in learning how to run the sound for our

 services?  How about the projection screen?  Help is needed in both

 of these areas.  Training will be provided!  Middle School and High

 School students are encouraged to sign up!  A sign up sheet is on the

 narthex table.  Questions?  See Ms. Heather, Brian Gort, or call the

 office at 538-3100.


HANDYMAN NEEDED to hang curtains and shades at the Crossing.

 If you are willing to help out with that, please contact Heather.


CALLING ALL YOUTH!!  Ms. Heather needs your help designing a

 new t-shirt or hoodies for Grace. (Hint: there are many design

 templates just google church t-shirt templates.) Deadline to turn in

 suggestions will be Aug 7th. Winner will get dinner with Ms. Heather.


OLD COOKBOOKS - Anyone have any old cookbooks that the

 Discovery Kidz could use as decorations? If so place on Children's

 check in desk by July 10th.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise


  • Dear God we pray that the light of Your love will shine on this land. May peace reign in our nation.  We pray for wisdom for our leaders. 
  • We thank and praise God today for Fathers, Grandfathers, Husbands, Sons, Brothers, all the men in our lives who mean so much to us.  We thank God for their lives and their love.
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week. We pray for Connections as they gear up for the work of summer block parties. 
  • We pray today for Brian & Abbey Licari’s son Logan who broke his shoulder.  We are so thankful that surgery will not be required. 
  • We thank God that Sandy Workman was able to return to her home.  We pray for complete healing. 
  • We pray today for Bob Tofferi.  We pray for peace and comfort as he prepares for heart surgery tomorrow.
  • We lift up Keith Baker in prayer today.  We pray that their trip will go well and Keith will remain healthy.
  • Continue to lift up Josh Sawyer in prayer as he is at the Great Lakes Naval Station for A School. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she undergoes chemotherapy.
  • We pray for Sally Herrema as she continues therapy on her leg.
  • We continue to keep Tymie Boeve in our prayers.  We pray for understanding, encouragement, continued healing and strength. 
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We ask for prayers for Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet as she has had a setback due to recent surgery. 
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Betty Figueroa, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
