Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in

TODAY AT GRACE

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ will be taking a short break this summer.  Class

 will resume on July 24 with a special summer theme!  Children’s

 bulletins are available at the sound board or narthex table.

 

OUR MUSIC MINISTRY is presented by Bob Moreno of our

 congregation.  Thank you for sharing your talents with us today!

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of June is designated for

 World Renew. World Renew and Reformed Church World Service

 are now working together as a disaster response, development and

 justice organization working for love, life, justice, and mercy around

 the world.  This special offering will be received today. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

6:00 PM JOINT EVENING WORSHIP – We will be meeting at

 Beverly Reformed Church (2141 Porter) tonight for worship!

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS –  Bob Tofferi’s heart surgery went well and he

 was able to return to his home!  See the Prayers & Praise Line for all

 other prayer requests and praise reports.

 

IN APPRECIATION – THANK YOU – THANK YOU – THANK YOU

 for your caring thoughts, cards, visits, and PRAYERS following my

 fall and hospitalization.  I appreciate it all so very much!

NEXT SUNDAY, JULY 3, 2016

 

NEXT SUNDAY – Pastor George Grevenstuk will lead our service and

 share the message.  For our evening service we will meet at Faith

 Reformed Church for a combined service.  Pastor Rick and Donna

 will be on vacation June 30 – July 13.  If a need arises, please call

 your Elder Representative or call the office and we will contact them

 for you. 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

THE NEXT CONSISTORY meeting will be held Monday, June 27 at

 7:30 pm.  Elders will meet at 6:30 pm.

 

PRAISE TEAM – next practice is Monday, July 11, 7:00 pm. 

 

NEEDED!  Are you interested in learning how to run the sound for our

 services?  How about the projection screen?  Help is needed in both

 of these areas.  Training will be provided!  Middle School and High

 School students are encouraged to sign up!  A sign up sheet is on the

 narthex table.  Questions?  See Ms. Heather, Brian Gort, or call the

 office at 538-3100.

 

OLD COOKBOOKS - Anyone have any old cookbooks that the

 Discovery Kidz could use as decorations? If so place on Children's

 check in desk by July 10th.

June 26, 2016

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We are so thankful today for the freedom we have in this country and those who fought for our independence.
  • Dear God we pray that the light of Your love will shine on this land. May peace reign in our nation.  We pray for wisdom for our leaders. 
  • We thank God today for the beauty of nature.  For warm summer days and times of rest and relaxation.
  • We lift up Pastor Rick and Donna as they take some time for vacation.  We pray for relaxation and refreshment.  We thank and praise God for their ministry here at Grace.
  • We remember in our prayers our Discovery Kidz as they go through the summer months.  We pray for fun times, discovery, and a closer relationship to Jesus.  We pray for Ms. Heather as she prepares for their summer session and fall events.
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week. We pray for Connections as they reach out to the neighborhood through summer block parties. 
  • Please continue to keep Sandy Workman in your prayers.  We pray for continued healing and a complete return to health and strength. 
  • We pray today for Bob Tofferi.  We thank and praise God for successful surgery and that he is back at his home recovering.
  • We lift up Keith Baker in prayer today.  We pray that their trip will go well and Keith will remain healthy.
  • Continue to lift up Josh Sawyer in prayer as he is at the Great Lakes Naval Station for A School. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she undergoes chemotherapy.
  • We pray for Sally Herrema as she continues therapy on her leg.
  • We continue to keep Tymie Boeve in our prayers.  We pray for understanding, encouragement, continued healing and strength. 
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We ask for prayers for Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet as she has had a setback due to recent surgery. 
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Betty Figueroa, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
