TODAY AT GRACE

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ AND PARENTS – Discovery Kidz will take a

 few weeks off so Ms. Heather can prep for some fun summer lessons! 

 Discovery Kidz will be under construction through July 6.  Classes

 will resume with a fun summer theme on July 13!

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC this morning is presented by Hermina

 Feikema.  Thank you, Hermina, for sharing with us this Lord’s day.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of June is designated for

 GRACE LEGACY BUILDERS. We took that offering last Sunday

 when Pastor Bruce Kuiper was with us.  However, you may still

 contribute today by placing your special offering envelope in the

 collection plate as it is passed, or use the pew envelope and designate

 Grace Legacy Builders.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

NEXT SUNDAY, JULY 6, 2014

 

 Next Sunday Rev. Cecil Martens will be with us and share the

 message.  For our evening service will with join together at Faith

 Reformed Church for a combined worship service. 

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Esther Hoag was expected to return home

 after being hospitalized last week.  She had an infection in her hand

 that she had broken earlier.  The infection was quite bad and they

 had to amputate her finger.  She is doing well now and responding to

 treatment.  You can send Esther a card at:  2450 – 36th Street,

 Apt. 110, Wyoming, MI  49519.  For all other prayer requests and

IN APPRECIATION – The Friar family wants to thank the Grace

 family and Pastor Rick for the many prayers offered as I underwent

 surgery and now recovery. May God bless you all. ~Jim Friar

 

SUMMER CAMP - A few of our kids at Grace will be heading to Cran

 Hill Ranch July 6th-11th. We would love to show that they are being

 prayed for and thought of during this week away. Would you consider

 sending them a quick note during their stay? Here is the list of those

 Wigent, Alex Hill, Lilly Dood, Sophie Licari, Bella Licari and Nachelle

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

THE FELLOWSHIP TEAM will host an outing on July 17, to the

 Picnic Pops to see “A Tribute to the Beatles”.  The show starts at

 7:30 pm.  $15.00 per person.  Sign up in the narthex so tickets can be

 purchased!

 

JULY DISCOVERY KIDZ ROTATION - Sign-ups are on the

 narthex table! For the summer months I am looking for 2 shepherds

 each week to help me out. The sign ups are week to week.

 

THE GEMS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE  - GEMS Girls’ Clubs is  

 excited to host the 2014 Annual Leadership Conference at Calvin

 College! They are inviting all women from the community to their

 opening event, the Women’s Night of Worship, on Wednesday, July

 23, from 7:00pm - 9:30pm at the Covenant Fine Arts Center at Calvin

 College. Registration is $15. Sign up online at gemsgc.org/conference

 in 20 years that this conference is being held in Grand Rapids! If you

HOST FAMILIES NEEDED JULY 18-21 FOR 6-8TH GRADE

 CHINESE STUDENTS.  Rachel & Rowin Mulder are bringing 26

 Chinese young people to Michigan for an English language and

 American culture experience while nurturing character development

 and leadership skills.  Students will arrive in Grand Rapids on Friday

 evening July 18, and will depart for South Haven on Monday

 morning July 21, so we are looking for host families in this area for

 just one weekend!  These students are excited to spend time with an

 American family and learn more about our way of life.  Host families

 can do simple, fun activities with their student(s) on Saturday and

 Sunday such as play board games, go for a nature walk, or go into

 town.  This is a great opportunity to share your values through your

 daily life!  You don’t need to have teenagers living at home in order to

FNOW 8TH ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC – July 18 with a 1:00 pm shot

 gun start.  It will be held at The Pines and includes golf, lunch, and

 door prizes.  Cost:  65 pp.  This is a fundraiser for Family Network to

 enable them to continue serving the greater Wyoming area by

 providing food, resources, and services to people in need.  Email

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God for the ministry of Grace Legacy Builders and Pastor Bruce Kuiper.  We pray for continued blessings.
  • We thank God for the beauty we see everyday in the sunshine and flowers, the lakes and rivers, trees and birds…We give God praise for his wonderful creation.
  • Please keep Esther Hoag in your prayers as she recovers following hospitalization and surgery.
  • We pray for Jim Friar as he recovers following heart surgery.
  • Remember Trena Battjes following cataract surgery.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy; Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer; and Caitlin, friend of Abbey Licari, diagnosed with Leukemia.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  In particular we pray for Amie Pierce serving in Kuwait.
