 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

OUR MINISTRY OF MUSIC this morning is presented by Tinna

 VanWyk of our congregation.  Thank you, Tinna, for your testimony

 in song today.

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING today is designated for the “ONE

 SUNDAY PENTECOST OFFERING” which is an RCA offering

 for new churches in our classis.  Our offering will be designated for

 CONNECTIONS. 

 

VBS VOLUNTEERS – Please meet briefly in the Fellowship Hall

 following the morning service to get your schedules and go over last

 minute details.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

6:00 PM – COMBINED PENTECOST SERVICE at FAITH

 REFORMED CHURCH (618 32nd St SW, Wyoming). 

 Grace, Faith, Beverly and Unity Reformed Churches will join  

 together for this special service.

“FUN FAIR – WHERE GOD’S WORLD COMES TOGETHER!”

 Workers please be at your stations and ready for FUN by 5:30 pm

 The entire congregation is invited to the Family Night

 on Thursday.  We will begin in the Sanctuary where you will learn

 about what the kids did during the week.  Dinner will be served

 following this and there will be carnival games and snacks, a bounce

 house, and a BIG SURPRISE!

 

**MONDAY, JUNE 9, 10:00 AM SET UP WILL TAKE PLACE.

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Marjean Tibbets was hospitalized this week

 with possible heart issues.  Jim Friar underwent heart valve surgery

 on Thursday at Butterworth Hospital.  Trena Battjes will undergo

 cataract surgery on Tuesday.  For all other prayer requests and praise

 reports, see the Prayers & Praise Line in your bulletin today. 

 

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to all those who donated supplies

 and food for VBS!  Your donations are appreciated and help keep

 our cost down and allow me to use my budget in other areas

 for VBS! ~Heather Dood

FATHER’S DAY

 

Next Sunday Pastor Rick will continue the series of messages “I WANT

 TO TESTIFY” with the message:  “The Testimony of Paul”

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of June is designated for

 GRACE LEGACY BUILDERS. Rev. Bruce Kuiper is the Pastor

 and President of this men’s ministry that strives to equip men as

 spiritual leaders.  Pastor Bruce will be here at Grace to lead

 our services and share the message on Sunday, June 22. 

 Our offering will be received that day.  For more information

PARKING LOT PAVING – Our parking lot is scheduled to be paved

 the week of June 15.  It will be completely tore up and repaved.  So

 keep that in mind as you will be making plans.  If you would like to

 help fund this major project, donations will be welcomed!  Just

 designate “Building Fund” on your offering envelope.

 

THE FELLOWSHIP TEAM will host an evening outing on July 17, to

 the Picnic Pops to see “A Tribute to the Beatles”.  The show starts at

 7:30 pm.  $15.00 per person.  Sign up in the narthex so tickets can be

 purchased!

 

MISCELLANEOUS KITCHEN ITEMS that are not needed or we

 have an abundance of, are laid out on a table in the Fellowship Hall.

 Take a look and help yourself.  A small donation would be

 appreciated and would be put toward the purchase of new items.

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ AND PARENTS – Discovery Kidz will take a

 few weeks off so Ms. Heather can prep for some fun summer lessons! 

 Discovery Kidz will be under construction from June 15 – July 6. 

 Classes will resume with a fun summer theme on July 13!

 

CHURCH WORLD SERVICE CARE KITS – We have an

 opportunity once again to make up care kits for Church World

 Service.  This will also be designated as the MISSION PROJECT

 for VBS this year.  We would like to collect as much as possible

 ahead of time, then the children will contribute and assemble the kits.

 We will be collecting for the Hygiene Kits.  Needed are: hand towels

 (16 x 28), washcloth, wide tooth comb, nail clippers, bath size bar of

 soap (in individual wrapper) toothbrush (in packaging), band-aids

 (standard size), one gallon plastic zip lock bag. Boxes will be placed at

 the entrances for your donations.  Thank you!

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God today for the Holy Spirit in our lives. 
  • We thank and praise God for Connections and the people that attend.  We are thankful for their testimonies and presence here today.
  • Please pray for Pastor George as he leads them.
  • We pray for Heather Dood and all the VBS volunteers as we go through this very busy week of Bible School.  We pray that many kids may come to know God in a special way.
  • We pray for our children as summer vacation begins.  We pray for safety and a time for fun and family.
  • We are thankful today for the many Christian teachers in our lives.  We thank God for their love and devotion.
  • We pray for those taking part at the RCA General Synod taking place at Central College in Pella, Iowa from June 12-17.
  • We pray for Jim Friar following heart valve surgery on Thursday.
  • Keep Marjean Tibbets in your prayers following hospitalization.
  • Remember Trena Battjes as she undergoes cataract surgery on Tuesday, then again in two weeks as they when her other eye will be done.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy; Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer; and Caitlin, friend of Abbey Licari, diagnosed with Leukemia.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  In particular we pray for Amie Pierce serving in Kuwait.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.

 

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
