9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in

 the Consistory Room following the morning service today. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 

4:30 PM The FRIENDS & FELLOWSHIP Bible Study Group will

 meet for dinner at the home of Rowin & Rachel Mulder. Please bring

 with Mr. Chris Hall leading our service and sharing the message. 

 Chris is a Commissioned Pastor Candidate and a new church start

 GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) for girls in

 grades K – 8th. Our girls have had a great year and will

 conclude their year with an awards ceremony tonight. Meet at

 the Crossing.

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th. Meet in the

 Fellowship Hall!

 BE BIG – For Preschool children. Meet in the Nursery!

 ADULTS – Meet in the Consistory Room for discussion of

 the Sunday message “God’s Pictures: The Feast of Trumpets”.

 Pastor Rick will lead this class. 

 

 **This will be the last week for regular Wednesday Night 

 Live classes! Next week we will have pizza together and

 then head out to a special family skating fun night at 

 Byron Center Fun Spot! Choir will continue to meet at

 their regular time through the Spring.

NEXT WEEK, MARCH 17, 2013

5th SUNDAY OF LENT

 

NEXT SUNDAY Mr. Daniel Jung, our Club 3:16 Director and student

 at Calvin Seminary will lead our service and share the message. We

 will celebrate GEMS SUNDAY with our GEMS and their leaders. 

 Also the Discovery Kidz will be with us and Mrs. Heather will share

 what is going on in their worship downstairs. 

 

The Special Offering for the month of March is designated for the 

 GEMS Organization. We will celebrate GEMS Sunday on March 17 

 and will also collect an offering for the GEMS Organization on that

 day. 

 

6:00 PM The LENTEN PULPIT EXCHANGE continues with

 Rev. Harvey Hertz leading our service and sharing the message. 

 

 

SPECIAL DATES TO REMEMBER

 

Tuesday, March 19 1:00 pm – THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet

 in the Consistory Room. We will discuss Psalm 90, Chapter 11 in the

 study book Psalms. All women are welcome!

 

Saturday, March 23, 5:00 pm – BUNCO NIGHT! The Fellowship

 Team invites you to come enjoy a fun night out beginning with

 dinner! We will play some BUNCO, then follow with dessert. Please

 bring a salad or dessert to pass. Sign up in the narthex. 

 ALSO: Card Tables are needed. If you have one we can borrow,

 contact Tymie Boeve (531-5700).

 

Saturday, March 30 - ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT! Please sign

 up in the narthex if you are willing to disperse eggs, work prize

 tables, or greet. If you have volunteered to bring candy for the eggs,

 please have it to church by TODAY.
 

 

June 10-13 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – See the insert in your

 bulletin today describing all the positions that need to be filled, then

 sign up on the sheets on the narthex table! Thank you in advance for

 all your help and support!

FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING CELEBRATION & FUND

 RAISING DINNER – Thursday, April 18 at Faith Community CRC,

 5250 Byron Center, Wyoming. Punch at 6:00 pm and dinner at 6:30. 

 There will be prizes, heartwarming stories, and we will celebrate

 9 years of service. Please contact Shari if you would like to attend.

 Reservations due by April 11th.

 

Toilet Paper COLLECTION for FNOW Feb. 17 – March 24 

 Our goal is 1,250 rolls of toilet paper during this time frame. IF we

 meet this goal, a donor has agreed to give cake for coffee time on

 Easter Sunday morning following the worship service! 

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ SPRING/SUMMER ROTATION Schedule is

 now available on the narthex table! Take a look and see where you

 may be able to help!

 

OUR EASTER OFFERING this year is designated for ONE GREAT

 HOUR OF SHARING. RCA congregations together raise money

 that allow Reformed Church World Service (RCWS) to make a

 difference and fight hunger in their own communities. This offering

 will be received on Easter Sunday.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • “To God be the Glory, Great Things He Hath Done”. Praise the Lord today for the great things he has done in your life!
  • During this Lenten season, ask the Lord to open new opportunities for you to witness for Him. Pray that He will guide your words and actions.
  • Remember Linda Lowing in your prayers as she begins the healing process.
  • We pray for those making plans for the Mission Trip to Stumpy Point NC to work on hurricane ravaged homes. 
  • We pray for Heather as she gears up for the busy time of preparing for Vacation Bible School. 
  • Please continue to keep Rowin Mulder’s brother and family in your prayers. Please pray that his brother will acknowledge and accept the help that he needs. 
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Brian Benthin, and John Hoag, Randy Veldheer.

  • Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
