We are so glad to have you worship with us during this season of Lent.  During this season we are all together in need of diving forgiveness, in need of power to lead a more faithful Christian life.  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship  Register as it is passed today.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY we celebrate the sacrament of Infant Baptism as Ainsley

 Grace Cooper, daughter of Jon & Christy Cooper, is baptized. 

 The flowers on the piano are in honor of her baptism.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages

 3 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL class will meet in the Consistory

 Room following the morning worship service.  They cover various

 subject matter using the Sunday School Guide. 

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting at Grace for our evening

 service tonight through the end of April.  Rev. Harvey Hertz will be 

 sharing the message.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER –  THE CROSSING kids will

 be preparing dinner for you prior to classes!  It will be a

 “breakfast for dinner” meal.  Come out to enjoy fellowship with

 each other and support our Crossing kids!!

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE. 

 6:30 PM YOUTH practice with Ms. Lorinda for the Easter Musical.

 6:45 – 8:00 PM GEMS, VICTORS, and BE BIG will meet.

 7:00 – 8:00 PM ADULTS

 FORGIVING THOSE WHO HURT US – Class meets in

 the Consistory Room. This upcoming week we will be

 discussing the final chapter (chapter 21) "Forgive and

 Remember" in Lewis Smedes' book "The Art of Forgiving-

 When You Need to Forgive and Don't Know How."  Thank you

 for your participation in the Bible Study and sharing in God's

 miracle and gift of forgiveness.  I encourage each of you as you

 continue in the journey being used by God as a conduit of His

 forgiving grace. 

 

NEXT WEEK, MARCH 19, 2017

3rd SUNDAY OF LENT & GEMS SUNDAY

 

NEXT SUNDAY our GEMS will share with us about their year. 

 Heather Dood, Commissioned Pastor Candidate, will lead the service

 and share the message.  There will be a special offering taken for the

 GEMS organization.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting at Grace for our evening

 services through the end of April.  Rev. Harvey Hertz will be 

 sharing the message.

6:45 – 8:00 PM YLIFE will meet.

Saturday, March 25 - Y-LIFE MISSION TRIP FUNDRAISING

 DINNER.  The Fellowship Committee is teaming up with Y-Life and

 sponsoring a Dinner.  Cost $15.00 each.  Checks can be made out to

 Grace Reformed Church with Y-Life Mission Trip on memo line. See

 the insert in your bulletin today.

 

Wednesday, March 29, 6:00 pm WEDNESDAY NIGHT

 CELEBRATION NIGHT!  The kids will be presenting the Easter

 musical “Crown Him With Many Crowns”. 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of March is designated for

 Western Seminary.  This offering will be received on March 26. 

 (This is in addition to the GEMS offering on March 19.)

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God today for the baptism of Ainsley Grace Cooper.
  • We are thankful today for our Discovery Kidz!  We thank Heather Dood for all she does with the youth groups at Grace and the Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she continues her studies to become a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • We pray for Mary Huizen recovering at her daughter Joy’s home.
  • Continue to keep Dick Postema in your prayers.  We are so thankful that he was able to return to his home.
  • Please be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy at Breton Manor.
  • We remember Linda Kraft in our prayers as she heals and undergoes therapy following surgery.
  • Be in prayer for Esther Hoag who continues to have problems with her fingers.  Also please pray for Esther’s sister who suffered a stroke and is now at Mary Free Bed Hospital.
