TODAY Pastor Rick will begin a new series of messages “NOT A

begin the LENTEN PULPIT EXCHANGE with each Pastor
starting out preaching in their own church!
9:50 am – 11:15 am DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages
3 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs for your own service.

NEXT SUNDAY morning Pastor Rick will continue the series “Not a
Fan” with the message: “What’s the Catch?” Next Sunday
evening we will continue the Lenten Pulpit Exchange with Rev.
Harvey Hertz, Associate Pastor at Faith Reformed Church, leading
our service and sharing the message. Pastor Rick will be preaching at
Beverly and Pastor George will be preaching at Faith.

season! We will finish up the dinners with pizza and ice cream!

AT THE SPECIAL CONSISTORY MEETING last Sunday, our
Consistory took the following action:
• A motion was made, seconded and approved to have Pastor George Grevenstuk move forward in the option of becoming the planter of the “Club 3:16” Church. This would include the following:
1. Pastor George would continue plans for getting Club 3:16 kids and families involved in more activities.
2. Pastor George would be compensated for his time as he moved toward a church plant.
3. Pastor George, along with the Mission/Outreach Team shall submit an application for the Church Plant to the denomination for funding.
• A motion was made, seconded and approved to fund Pastor George Grevenstuk, beginning March 6, 2011 thru September 4, 2011, the additional funding for Pastor George to come from the “New Church Plant” line of the 2011 Budget, at the rate of $15.00 per hour for 10 additional hours per week, which will equal $3,900.00. This action will be reviewed July 1, 2011.
OUR LOVE OFFERING for the De Young family raised $2,154.00.

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of March is designated for
the 2012 Grace Mission Trip. Presently we are looking into a trip to
Chiapas, Mexico to work with our Missionary Al Schreuder on a
building project. Funds will need to be raised for the project itself as
well as the cost of the trip. This special offering will be received on
Sunday, March 27.
DISCOVERY KIDZ next rotation (March 20 – April 17) is in need of a
cooking leader and 2 shepherds. Sign up in the narthex, or see
Heather if you can help! Thank You!
OUR ‘KAREN’ REFUGEE FAMILY: Please sign up in the narthex
if you are willing to help transport them to church and appointments
that come up. If anyone could assist with friendship/visitation or do
English tutoring (this could be as simple as reading picture books to
Julia) even if it is on a limited basis, sign up or talk to Shari.
FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING CELEBRATION & FUND
RAISING DINNER! -- Thursday, May 5, 2011 – Punch at 6 PM &
dinner at 6:30 PM. Everyone is invited to this special dinner where
we will celebrate seven years of service to families in need in the
Wyoming & Grandville communities. The dinner itself is free but you
will be encouraged to give a monetary gift to FNOW. Included in the
evening will be heart warming stories of those who have been helped
by FNOW and some gifts will be given out by drawing names of those
in attendance. Please contact Shari and she will put your reservation
in to sit at the one or two tables that Grace hopes to fill!

Congregational Prayers and Praise
We thank and praise God today for his everlasting love.
Praise God today for signs of spring…for the beauty of this earth throughout all the seasons.
Keep Juel Grevenstuk in your prayers as she heals following surgery.
We pray for encouragement and strength for Harvey Steensma. We praise God that he is in remission.
Pray today for Jae and Julia, as they adjust to everything new.
Please keep Lola De Young and her family in your prayers.
We thank God that Mary Huizen was able to make use of a pacemaker. May she begin to feel better each day.
Continue to keep Joan Patterson in your prayers as she recovers.
We thank and praise God for this loving and giving congregation.
We pray for those who have recently lost loved ones.
We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Marvin Witvliet, brother of Arlene Dekker, who is beginning chemo for esophageal cancer; Amee Bekkering, daughter of Dick and Ruth Locke receiving treatments for cancer; Larry VerMerris, son of Ruth Vermerris diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; Linda Hoezee, daughter-in-law of Ann Hoezee who is undergoing chemotherapy.
