 WELCOME

We are so glad to have you worship with us during this season of Lent.  During this season we are all together in need of diving forgiveness, in need of power to lead a more faithful Christian life.  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

TODAY the GEMS will participate in our service and share about their

 year.  We will receive a special offering for the GEMS Organization. 

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today.  Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin.  You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

Y-LIFE will meet following the service. We will have lunch then head

 down to Kidz Food Basket. This will take the place of our evening

 meeting.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX -  For the month of March we will meet at Faith

 Reformed Church.  Pastor Harvey Hertz will lead the service and

 share the message. 

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS:  Shirley De Bruin was expected to move to

 Marywood Health Center for rehabilitation for a short while.  Please

 continue to keep her in your prayers.  For other prayer concerns and

 praise reports,  please see the insert in your bulletin.

 

IN APPRECIATION – I would like to thank my family at Grace for

 all their visits, cards, and prayers.  I would like to especially thank

 John & Fay De Jong for their multiple visits along with the other

 choir members who took the time to visit me.  This has been a very

 long process.  I covet all that you have done for me.

 Room.  We will discuss Isaiah 61, Lesson 19 in our study book. 

 All women are welcome.

 7:00 PM THE MISSION OUTREACH TEAM will meet.

 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16, 2016

 3:45 – 5:45 or 8:00 PM THE CROSSING for grades 3 & 4.

 WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER -  THE CROSSING KIDS

 are sponsoring our dinner!  They will be preparing a Pasta

 Feast! Please join us and show your support!

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE.

 6:45 – 8:00 PM  GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) 

 for girls in grades K – 8th.  Meet in the Choir Room!

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th

 BE BIG – For Preschool children.  Meet in the Nursery!

 7:00 – 8:00 PM ADULTS 

 You are invited to Newhall Reformed Church to join with their

 congregation for a Bible study on the Book of Acts.

 12:45 – 3:00 PM GEMS YEAR END PARTY at For the Kids

 Gymnastics Center.  Lunch will be provided! Meet at Church!

 

NEXT WEEK, MARCH 20, 2016

PALM SUNDAY

 

NEXT SUNDAY – Our SENIOR CHOIR will present their

 Easter Cantata “Alleluia, Jesus is Alive”.  Pastor Rick will share the

 Message “Jerusalem: The Old, the New, the Now”.  (Mark 11:1-11)

 

THE FACILITIES COMMITTEE will meet briefly in the Fellowship

 Hall following the service next week.

 

5:30 – 8:30 PM YLIFE will meet and head to Grace Bible College for

 "The Journey Of Life". 

 

6:00 PM A PALM SUNDAY EVENING EVENT - We will meet at

 Faith Reformed Church for a special presentation of “John the

 Baptist”.

 Thursday, March 24, 7:00 pm MAUNDY THURSDAY

 We will be remembering the steps to Calvary through a special

 Tenebrae worship service:  “Matthew Walks through the

 Shadows.”  Communion will be served. 

 We are still in need of two male readers.  If you would be

 willing to serve in this capacity, please contact Lorinda at

Saturday, March 26, 11:00 am – ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

 A sign-up sheet is in the narthex for volunteers.  * Candy

 donations needed as well to fill our eggs. Individually

 wrapped/peanut free candy.  Remember we are putting them in the

 eggs so small is great!! 

 

Sunday, March 27, 10:00 am EASTER CELEBRATION!  Our special

 Easter offering is designated for Talking Bibles.

 

Wednesday, March 30, 6:00 pm  WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE

 CELEBRATION NIGHT!  Our Discovery Kidz along with the

 Crossing students will be presenting an Easter Musical “GOD’S

 NOT DEAD”.  Following will be a Pizza Dinner in the Fellowship

 Hall. Please plan to support our kids and attend this fun night!

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank God today for the gift of eternal life for all who believe!
  • We are so thankful today for our GEMS and their leaders.  We pray that they will always “Choose Truth” as they go about their daily lives at school and at home.  We appreciate the hard work and dedication of their leaders!
  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz worshipping downstairs.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We pray today for Rich Mc Coy who is taking over for Pastor George at Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he begins the healing process.  We pray that he has a quick recovery and can be back at Connections soon. 
  • Please be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin.  Pray for peace and healing.
  • We pray today for Tymie Boeve.  We pray for encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Please continue to keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer.
