TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY we welcome Mr. Daniel Jung to our service. Daniel is our

 Club 3:16 Director and student at Calvin Seminary. We also are 

 thankful to Ben Logsdon, a piano student of Karen Ver Hulst and

 a member of Kentwood Community Church, for sharing the prelude

 with us today. 

 We celebrate GEMS SUNDAY with our GEMS and their leaders. 

 Also the Discovery Kidz will be with us and Mrs. Heather will share

 what is going on in their worship downstairs. We are excited to have

 them “ring” for us today with their new bells!

 

The Special Offering for the month of March is designated for the 

 GEMS Organization. We will receive this offering today.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in

 the Consistory Room following the morning service today. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 

6:00 PM THE LENTEN PULPIT EXCHANGE continues tonight

 with Rev. Harvey Hertz, leading our service and sharing the

 message. Pastor Harvey is presently working on the ministerial staff

 at Faith Reformed.

 

6:45 – 8:00 PM Y-LIFE for MS/HS Youth meets at the Crossing

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Keith Baker has been hospitalized this past

 week with heart issues. Please keep Keith & Carolyn in your prayers.

 10:00 AM Connections - KIDS CONNECTION - Moms and

 tots play group. Starbucks coffee and mom talk while the

 kids socialize.

 1:00 PM – THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in the

 Consistory Room. We will discuss Psalm 90, Chapter 11 in

 the study book Psalms. All women are welcome!

 3:15 – 5:15 PM Club 3:16 for Grades 5 & 6.

 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 2013

 9:00 AM Connections - SENIOR COFFEE CONNECTION

 Retirees gather for coffee and cookies and neighborly

 conversation.

 3:45 – 5:45 PM CLUB 3:16 for Grades 3 & 4.

 

 WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE CELEBRATION!

 6:00 PM PIZZA is planned then we will travel to Byron Center

 Fun Spot for a fun night of family roller skating! Tonight ends

 the regular season for Wednesday night classes!

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE.

 6:00 PM CONNECTIONS will gather at the Crossing.

 

SATURDAY, MARCH 23, 2013

 5:00 PM – BUNCO NIGHT! The Fellowship Team invites you to

 come enjoy a fun night out beginning with dinner! We will

 play some BUNCO, then follow with dessert. Please bring a

 salad or dessert to pass. Sign up in the narthex

 ALSO: Card Tables are needed. If you have one we can

 borrow, contact Tymie Boeve (531-5700).

 

Easter Activities at Grace

Join us as we walk together through Holy Week and

 Celebrate our Risen Christ on Easter Morning!

 

Sunday, March 24 – Palm Sunday

 10:00 AM Pastor Rick will share the message “The Feast of

 Tabernacles” as we continue the series “God’s Pictures”. 

 The Senior Choir will present their Easter Cantata. 

 

 6:00 PM A joint service will be held at Unity Reformed

 Church, 4450 Poinsettia, Kentwood, as we wrap up the

 Lenten Pulpit Exchange. 

 

Thursday, March 28 – Maundy Thursday

 7:00 PM A service of Communion and Remembrance will be held. 

 Pastor Rick will share the message “The Feast of

 Atonement”. 

 

Saturday, March 30 – Annual Easter Egg Hunt! 

 11:00 AM The kids will love to come and hunt for eggs! There will

 be singing, prizes, and lots of fun! Bring your kids, your

 neighbor kids, grandkids! 

 

Sunday, March 31 – Easter Celebration

 10:00 AM Come join in singing praises to our Risen Lord! 

 Our Easter Offering is designated for “One Hour of Sharing” a

 ministry of Reformed Church World Service. RCA congregations

 together raise money that allow (RCWS) to make a difference and

 fight hunger in their own communities. No Discovery Kidz on

 Easter. Children will sit with their parents in the sanctuary!

 

SPECIAL DATES TO REMEMBER

 

Sunday, March 24 – Y-LIFE will be heading to Winter Jam! Cost

 $10.00 due TODAY! Leaving right after church in the morning,

 returning at 10:30 pm. Pack a lunch/dinner!

June 10-13 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – Sign up on the sheet in

 This year’s program will feature quilter, Mary Etta Zwart,

 who will present “Quilts Inspired by the Bible”. RSVP by Friday,

MISSION TEAM – T-shirts are being ordered. Cost is $18 each.

 OUR COUNT AT PRESENT IS 917 ROLLS! That is 333 rolls short of

 our goal of 1250 rolls and cake on Easter Sunday morning! One week

 Delivery is on Easter Sunday, or you can pick them up after the

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We pray today for Keith Baker. We thank and praise God today for His healing powers and love for us!
  • We are so thankful today for our homes, food on our tables, and loved ones who surround us.
  • We thank God today for our Children. We pray for their leaders.
  • We pray for Daniel Jung today. We thank God for his ministry and for his work with the children at Club 3:16. 
  • We pray for those making plans for the Mission Trip to Stumpy Point NC to work on hurricane ravaged homes. 
  • We pray for Heather as she gears up for the busy time of preparing for Vacation Bible School. 
  • Please continue to keep Rowin Mulder’s brother and family in your prayers. Please pray that his brother will acknowledge and accept the help that he needs. 
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Brian Benthin, and John Hoag, Randy Veldheer.
