We are so glad to have you worship with us during this season of Lent.  During this season we are all together in need of diving forgiveness, in need of power to lead a more faithful Christian life.  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.




9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.


THANK YOU to our Senior Choir and all those who helped make the

 Easter Cantata a special part of our Easter Celebration.  A very

 special thank you to our Choir Director, Paul Kerkstra. 



 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!


A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.


THE FACILITIES COMMITTEE will meet briefly in the Fellowship

 Hall following the service.


5:30 – 8:30 PM YLIFE will meet and head to Grace Bible College for

 "The Journey of Life". 


6:00 PM A PALM SUNDAY EVENING EVENT - We will meet at

 Faith Reformed Church for a special presentation of “John the

 Baptist”.  Through this drama you will meet the apostle John as he

 walks out of the Bible to tell the amazing story of John the Baptist.

 Hear the powerful words of Jesus through the five “I am’s”.  Feel the

 excitement and emotions of John the Baptist, Zechariah and

 Elizabeth, and Mary, the mother of Jesus.  Hear the words of John

 the Baptist, “A voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for

 the Lord!” 




HEALTH CONCERNS:  Shirley De Bruin moved to Marywood Health

 Center for rehabilitation for a short while.  Please continue to keep

 her in your prayers.  For other prayer concerns and praise reports, 

 please see the insert in your bulletin.


IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to Pastor Rick for his visits and our

 Grace family for all the acts of kindness shown and prayers offered

 for Brent during his hospitalization.  A special thank you to the

 Thursday evening Bible Study group for all their help.  We

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER -  Ham and cheesy potatoes

 are on the menu for this week! Come enjoy dinner before class.


 6:45 – 8:00 PM  GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) 

 for girls in grades K – 8th.  Meet in the Choir Room!

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th

 BE BIG – For Preschool children.  Meet in the Nursery!

 You are invited to Newhall Reformed Church to join with their

 congregation for a Bible study on the Book of Acts. 


THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 2016 – Maundy Thursday

 7:00 PM We will be remembering the steps to Calvary

 through a special Tenebrae worship

 service:  “Matthew Walks through the

 Shadows.”  Communion will be served.  For those 

 of you who volunteered to be readers, we will be running through

 the script on Tuesday evening, March 22nd at 7 pm.


SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 2016 – Annual Easter Egg Hunt!  

 11:00 AM The kids will love to come and hunt for 

 eggs!  There will be singing, prizes, and lots of fun! 

 Bring your kids, your neighbor kids, grandkids!




Easter Celebration


10:00 AM Come join in singing praises to our Risen Lord! Pastor Rick

 will share the message “Guess Who’s Up?”  (I Corinthians 15:1-23) 

 We will also welcome new members! Our Easter Offering is

 designated for TALKING BIBLES.  No Discovery Kidz on Easter. 




Wednesday, March 30, 6:00 pm  WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE

 CELEBRATION NIGHT!  Our Discovery Kidz along with the

 Crossing students will be presenting an Easter Musical “GOD’S

 NOT DEAD”.  Following will be a Pizza Dinner in the Fellowship

 Hall. Please plan to support our kids and attend this fun night!


GEMS OFFERING – You may give your offering for the GEMS

 Organization anytime this month.  Just be sure to designate it on

 your offering envelope or use a pew envelope.  Thank you!


YOU ARE INVITED – Beverly Reformed Church (2141 Porter,

 Wyoming) is hosting a Lenten Breakfast on Wednesday, March 23 at

 9:30 am.  This year’s program will feature Sandy Bode, an

 accomplished pianist from northern Michigan.  Her program, "Great

 Is Thy Faithfulness", will move us toward the celebration of Easter as

 we think of God's faithfulness to us from Genesis to Jesus' sacrifice

 for us.  Come share in a time of delicious food, warm fellowship, and

 beautiful music during this holy Lenten season. Please RSVP calling

 Wilma Courson at 534-9564.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God today for the gift of music.  We are thankful for our Senior Choir and Director, Paul Kerkstra.
  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz worshipping downstairs.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We pray today for Rich Mc Coy who is taking over for Pastor George at Connections.  We pray that he has a quick recovery and can be back at Connections soon. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she regains her strength at Marywood. 
  • We pray today for Tymie Boeve.  We pray for encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.
