Poinsettia Ave SE., Kentwood). The Lenten Pulpit Exchange
concludes with this special Palm Sunday Service.
PRAYERS & PRAISE
HEALTH CONCERNS – Pat Norden is now home after being hospitalized
earlier this week. Ade Peterson was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Please keep Ade & Margaret in your prayers as Margaret is feeling
the effects of a recent stroke. There are many members of our
congregation who recently have been hospitalized or are undergoing
tests/treatments. See the Prayers and Praise Line today for that list.
OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Marv and Sue Andringa
upon the death of Marv’s mother, Lorraine Wormmeester Andringa,
on Thursday, March 18 at the age of 93. Services were held on
Wednesday at Woodhaven Reformed Church.
IN APPRECIATION – Thank you for all the cards and prayers following
my foot surgery. It is very much appreciated. ~Kathy De Ruiter

All are invited to begin the day in the sanctuary for a time of prayer
where, together, we will seek God’s blessing upon us, invoking Him
to usher powerful new life upon us in the days ahead.
9:00 AM Breakfast And Fellowship
A Continental Breakfast is planned. Join us for fellowship that
prepares our hearts for worship.
10:00 AM Easter Celebration
Come join in singing praises to our Risen Lord! Pastor Rick will
share the message “Why Not Me?” from Job 42. Our Easter
Offering is designated for Reformed Church World Service,
which is our Reformed Church leg which gives money to disasters
around the world.
CONSISTORY MEMBERS – Next meeting is April 5th. Elders 6:30 pm and
Consistory 7:30 pm.
CADETS – There will be a meeting on April 14th at 6:30 for all Cadets and
Leaders to review for the Camporee, which is April 30 – May 1. We
are asking for a dad, grandparent, or uncle to attend with the boys if
possible. We would like as many boys as possible to have a male
accompany them on this trip!
DISCOVERY KIDZ VOLUNTEERS – The next rotation is “Jesus Baptized”
which runs from April 18 – May 16. Still needed are persons for
games, cooking, and drama. These positions only require a 3 week
commitment! Please see Heather, or sign up in the narthex, if you
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – June 15 – 18 6:00 – 7:45 pm.
This year VBS is going to be a step back to Marketplace 29 AD. Visit
the shops in the marketplace, dance and sing, see live animals and
much more! Lots of info for kids and helpers alike coming soon!
GARDEN DIRT! The Cadets have been building a big box 4’ x 8’ x 8” deep
for a Discovery Kidz garden. If you have a handy pile of dirt to fill
this box, please contact Ray Zondervan at 401-7910.
MISSION WORK TRIP TO CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – MAY 2-8
Eleven people from Grace have already signed up to take part in this
ecumenical build with Church World Service and 9 other churches!
This week we have learned that Coopersville Reformed will be joining
forces with us during our week…this is the church where Pastor John
DeKam (who went with us to New Orleans last year) is presently.
YOU could still sign up in the narthex! For those who have
committed to the trip…please check your mailbox for a packet of
HEALTH AND BABY KITS! Thank you to all who have been bringing in
kits for RCWS to use during disasters! It would be greatly
appreciated if anyone would like to buy just one or 2 items to
complete a few incomplete kits. There is a list on the table in the
narthex of a few needed items…..please sign the sheet so that we will
not duplicate items. All the Kits are due by April 11. A box is in the
NEW WORDS OF HOPE DEVOTIONAL BOOKLETS are available at the sound
board and on the narthex table.
FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING Annual Fundraising Dinner celebrating
six years of God’s blessings to the Family Network will be held at
Faith CRC on Byron Center, April 27, 6:00 pm. Shari is looking for
persons from Grace who would like to attend this dinner. Call Shari
if interested. The dinner will be followed by a program and special
music. Prizes, such as overnight lodging at the Amway Grand Plaza
and an overnight stay at The Shack, will be given away.
HUNGER WALK 2010 - If you are interested in Walking in the annual
G.R.A.C.E. Hunger Walk which is May 2nd, please call the office and
we will give you the information.
THE TOILET PAPER DRIVE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! Thank You, Thank
You, Thank You!! Over 1200 rolls of toilet were collected and
brought over to FNOW! A special thank you to Phyllis Vander Sloot,
who weekly counted the toilet paper and to Rog & Phyllis who
transported all of it to the pantry. Phyllis says, “Many thanks to all
who donated to the toilet paper drive. My dream of helping others in
some small way did come true! Thank You!”
A HUGE THANK-YOU to all who helped make the Easter Event a success.
Also to the kids that came out for a morning of fun. THANK YOU to all
that made this years Wednesday night possible- we had an incredible
year and I can't wait to see you all back in the Fall!
