9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

The MISSION TRIP FUND RAISING DINNER will be held

 following the service this morning! The Consistory has agreed to

 match the funds raised at the dinner up to the amount needed! 

 You are welcome to join the dinner today even if you did not make

 reservations!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 

6:00 PM THE LENTEN PULPIT EXCHANGE continues tonight

 with Rev. Bruce Osbeck, Pastor of Faith Reformed Church, at our

 pulpit. Pastor Rick will be preaching at Beverly and Pastor George at

 Unity.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series of messages

 entitled: “God’s Pictures” with the message: “The Feast of Trumpets”.

 

6:00 PM The LENTEN PULPIT EXCHANGE continues with

 Mr. Chris Hall leading our service and sharing the message. Chris is

 a Commissioned Pastor Candidate and a new church start Pastor.

 Pastor Rick will be preaching at Unity Reformed Church.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

Y-LIFE RETREAT – Please be in prayer for the middle and high

 school youth and leaders at Cran Hill this morning concluding their

 weekend retreat. Pray for safe travels for the 12 as they are expected

 to return around 1 pm today.

 

SPECIAL DATES TO REMEMBER

Wednesday, March 20, is the last night for WEDNESDAY NIGHT

 LIVE! We will conclude the season with pizza here at church

 followed by a roller skating party at Byron Center Fun Spot!

 

Saturday, March 30 - ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT! Please sign

 up in the narthex if you are willing to disperse eggs, work prize

 tables, or greet. If you have volunteered to bring candy for the eggs,

 please have it to church by March 10.
 

June 10-13 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – See the insert in your

 bulletin today describing all the positions that need to be filled, then

 sign up on the sheets on the narthex table! Thank you in advance for

 all your help and support!

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Toilet Paper COLLECTION for FNOW Feb. 17 – March 24 

 Toilet Paper is once again needed at Family Network of Wyoming, so  

 that a family can receive more than one roll a month. Our toilet

 paper goal is 1,250 rolls of toilet paper during this time frame. IF we

 meet this goal, a donor has agreed to give cake for coffee time on

 Easter Sunday morning following the worship service! 

 

 ***UPDATE WE HAVE 580 ROLLS, WE ARE ALMOST ½ THERE! 

 Keep it coming J Watch for sales and give as you are blessed! 

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ SPRING/SUMMER ROTATION Schedule is

 now available on the narthex table! Take a look and see where you

 may be able to help!

 

SPECIAL OFFERINGS – The Special Offering for the month of

 March is designated for the GEMS Organization. Our girls have

 had a great year and will conclude their year with an awards

 ceremony on Wednesday, March 13. We will celebrate GEMS Sunday

 on March 17 and will also collect an offering for the GEMS

 Organization on that day. 

 

 Our Easter Offering this year is designated for ONE GREAT

 HOUR OF SHARING. RCA congregations together raise money

 that allow Reformed Church World Service (RCWS) to make a

 difference and fight hunger in their own communities. This offering

 will be received on Easter Sunday.

 

HUNGER WALK – This year the Hunger Walk will take place on

 May 4. Many ways to help include: Walking, Volunteering, Donating. 

 You can register online at accessofwestmichigan.org., or go to their

 website for more information. Be a hero…help fight hunger!

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank and praise God for our Y-Life students and leaders who have spent the weekend at Cran Hill Ranch on Retreat. We pray for safe travels as they return today.
  • We pray for those making plans for the Mission Trip to Stumpy Point NC to work on hurricane ravaged homes. 
  • We pray for Heather as she gears up for the busy time of preparing for Vacation Bible School. 
  • Please lift up Rowin Mulder’s brother and family in your prayers. He is in mighty need of our prayers right now. We ask that you also keep Rowin & Rachel in your prayers as they are so far away. 
  • We pray also for Rowin's parents and an aunt and uncle who are doing everything they can to get him help. Please pray that his brother will acknowledge and accept the help that he needs. 
  • Please continue to pray for God to use Common Connections (Connections small groups) to connect neighbors.
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Brian Benthin, and John Hoag, Randy Veldheer.
  • Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Jane Duthler, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
