ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today.  Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin.  You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.




We are so glad to have you worship with us during this season of Lent.  During this season we are all together in need of diving forgiveness, in need of power to lead a more faithful Christian life.  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.



9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.



 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!


A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.


SUNDAYS AT SIX -  For the month of March we will meet at Faith

 Reformed Church.  Pastor Harvey Hertz will lead the service and

 share the message. 






 3:15 – 5:15 PM THE CROSSING for youth in grades 5 & 6 will




 3:45 – 5:45 or 8:00 PM THE CROSSING for youth in grades

 3 & 4 will meet. 




 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER -  Join us for sloppy joes,

 potato salad, baked beans, chips and dessert!


 6:45 – 8:00 PM  GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) 

 for girls in grades K – 8th.  Meet in the Choir Room!

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th

 BE BIG – For Preschool children.  Meet in the Nursery!

 7:00 – 8:00 PM ADULTS 

 You are invited to Newhall Reformed Church to join with their

 congregation for a Bible study on the Book of Acts.  Rev.

 Daniel Kroeze will be leading this class. 





NEXT SUNDAY – Our GEMS will participate in our service and share

 About their year.  We will receive a special offering for the GEMS

 Organization.  Pastor Rick will continue the series “You Better

 Believe It!” with the message:  “I BELIEVE IN ETERNITY”. 


Y-LIFE will meet next week following the service. We will have lunch

 then head down to Kidz Food Basket. This will take the place of our

 evening meeting.

6:00 PM  SUNDAY’S AT SIX.  Meeting at Faith Reformed Church.




Tuesday, March 15, 1:00 pm THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in

 the Consistory Room.  We will discuss Isaiah 61, Lesson 19 in our

 study book.  All women are welcome.


Wednesday, March 16, 6:00 pm – THE CROSSING KIDS are  

 sponsoring the Fellowship Dinner!  They will be preparing a Pasta

 Feast! Please plan to join the kids and their families this evening.

Saturday, March 19, 12:45 – 3:00 pm GEMS YEAR END PARTY at

 For the Kids Gymnastics Center.  Lunch will be provided! See Sandy

 Gort if you have any questions! 


Sunday, March 20, 10:00 am THE SENIOR CHOIR will present their

 Easter Cantata “Alleluia, Jesus is Alive”.


Sunday, March 20, 5:30 – 8:30 pm YLIFE will meet and head to

 Grace Bible College for "The Journey Of Life". 


Sunday, March 20, 6:00 pm A PALM SUNDAY EVENING EVENT  

 We will meet at Faith Reformed Church for a special presentation of

 “John the Baptist”.


 Thursday, March 24, 7:00 pm MAUNDY THURSDAY

 We will be remembering the steps to Calvary through a special

 Tenebrae worship service:  “Matthew Walks through the

 Shadows.”  Communion will be served. 

 **For those of you who volunteered to be readers, we will be running through

 the script following worship on Sunday, March 13th and, if needed, Tuesday,

 March 22 @ 7 pm.  We are still in need of three male readers.  If you would be

 willing to serve in this capacity, please contact Lorinda at (616) 261-2553.  


Saturday, March 26, 11:00 am – ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

 A sign-up sheet is in the narthex for volunteers.  * Candy

 donations needed as well to fill our eggs. Individually

 wrapped/peanut free candy.  Remember we are putting them in the

 eggs so small is great!! 


Sunday, March 27, 10:00 am EASTER CELEBRATION!  Our special

 Easter offering is designated for Talking Bibles.


Wednesday, March 30, 6:00 pm  WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE

 CELEBRATION NIGHT!  Our Discovery Kidz along with the

 Crossing students will be presenting an Easter Musical “GOD’S

 NOT DEAD”.  Following will be a Pizza Dinner in the Fellowship

 Hall. Please plan to support our kids and attend this fun night!


FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING is in need of personal items.

 Items needed:  bar soap, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes,  

 deodorant.  A box will be placed by the doors for your donations.




HEALTH CONCERNS:  Shirley De Bruin is a patient at the Lacks

 Center of St. Mary’s Hospital.  Please be in prayer for her as she will

 be undergoing surgery to remove a blockage in her large intestine. 

 Cards and prayers for peace will be much appreciated.  For prayer

 concerns and praise reports,  please see the insert in your bulletin.


OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Ken and Janet

 Groenhout upon the passing of his brother James Groenhout at the

 age 68, on February 24, 2016.

Congregational Prayers and Praise


  • We thank God today for the generosity of this congregation.  We are thankful for those who give of their time, talents, and their offerings.
  • We praise God today for all the organizations who give to those in need.  We pray for them as continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus. 
  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz worshipping downstairs.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We pray today for Rich Mc Coy who is taking over for Pastor George at Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he begins the healing process.  We pray that he has a quick recovery and can be back at Connections soon. 
  • Please be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin.  Pray for peace and healing.
  • We pray today for Tymie Boeve.  We pray for encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, was expected to go to a rehab facility. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
  • We pray for those who have recently lost loved ones.  We pray in particular for Ken & Janet Groenhout today.
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
