THE SPECIAL OFFERING for Easter, March 23 and the end of the month,
March 30, is designated for “ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING”,
which is distributed by Reformed Church World Service. RCWS
assists areas around the globe in a time of crisis or disaster.
Recently, RCWS has helped a church in Oman recover from a
devastating cyclone, a church in Myanmar drill life sustaining wells,
assist a church in India with start-up costs in their Cows for Life
program, and the list goes on! Here in the US, RCWS has provided
help for those recovering from the hurricanes in the south. Once
again this spring, our church will be going south to assist in the
building of a home for Hurricane Rita victims…RCWS has provided
funds for this project. Remember that as you support RCWS, you are
specifically helping the about 14 persons from our church who are
going on this work trip in April. The Mission Team is asking each of
you prayerfully give to this worthy cause! Some of you have a lot to
give but others are struggling to make ends meet, so please make this
offering a prayerful part of your Lent sacrifice! We thank you in
advance.

On the table in the narthex are little “sharing” banks and a “sharing”
calendar is in your bulletin today. These tools will assist you in
making this a fun family event! The “sharing” calendar gives you
daily suggestions for prayer and helpful ideas for contributions to put
in your “sharing” bank. Feel free to use this tool, or just give through
your special offering envelope. The banks should be picked up now
and turned in by March 30.

“SCHOOL KITS” Service Project for children in impoverished schools,
refugee camps, and other difficult settings in the world. You can help
by sewing cloth school bags and purchasing the specific needed
school items. See the yellow flyer on the table in the narthex for
exact details. This is a several month project, so be on the look out
for sales.
