months in the Fellowship Hall. Worship Leaders this week
are Lynda Ver Merris and Tymie Boeve.
11:20 – 12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL – There are classes available for all
ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
High School and Post High Youth
will join the Chapel class to watch
Sunday School Guide Class
will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.

NEXT WEEK – MAY 17, 2009
NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series “Defining Mission,
Defining Moment” with the message “To Judea”. The Mission
Trip team will share their experiences with us during the morning
service. This is the last week of Sunday School classes for the
4:30 PM THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE will meet in the Consistory
Room. See Wes Dekker if you have any questions.
ALL NEW HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, TRADE SCHOOL GRADUATES please
inform Sandy Gort (667-9763) soon. The next issue of the Galaxy
will include our Graduates!
THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for the
GRACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. This special offering will be received on
May 31, which is GRADUATION SUNDAY!
“CROCODILE DOCK” VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is coming June 8 – 12
from 6:30 – 9:00 pm! There is a letter today in your mailboxes.
Please pick it up after service. We are still recruiting, sign up
VBS MEETING!! There will be a meeting right after church on May 31 for
all volunteers, especially CREW LEADERS. Shari will give you all
the materials you will need!
CHURCH PICNIC – Mark your calendars and save the date for the Church
Picnic on June 17 at Pinery Park.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to provide transportation for General Synod
delegates from June 1 – June 6 from the Gerald Ford Airport to Hope
College. If you are willing to help welcome pastors, stated clerks,
elder delegates and guests, please contact Julie Ploeg at the Deacon’s
Center at 616-532-2428 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING MOVE to the
44th Street CRC Building? If you are available on May 23 to help
transport stuff, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex or contact
Shari. It looks like we could use pick up trucks and vans. Shari will
contact you with more details when you sign up.
ACCESS is having a FUNDRAISER to help support their food pantries at
APPLEBEE’S. An all you can eat Pancake Breakfast will be held on
Saturday, May 16 from 8 – 10 am at all local Applebee’s Restaurants.
Cost is only $5.00 per person, and kids under 5 eat free!

CHURCH PLANT PRAYER FOCUS
Watch for these weekly prayer updates regarding the
possibility of a new church start.
Pray for the Mission & Outreach Team and the Consistory
as we discern the next steps in the process.

• The gift of our mothers and family
• The beauty of God’s creation
• The Family Network of Wyoming Pantry as they move to 44th St CRC
• The members at 44th St CRC who seek new church homes
• Those looking for work in this tough job market
• Our summer VBS Crocodile Dock and the children who will come
• Rick & Laura Marshall as they await news of the May 15 date in the
Ethiopian court~ If all goes well, they hope to travel in mid June to
pick up their new son, Kaleab and bring him home.
• Al Grimm as he begins rehab at Brookcrest
• Geri Ruis as she recovers from heart surgery
• Those who have recently been hospitalized or who are in various stages
