TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET.  All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

TODAY WE CELEBRATE the sacrament of Infant Baptism as Gerald

 William Vander Wal IV (Will) is baptized.  Little Will is the son of

 Tripp and Katie Vander Wal.  The flowers on the piano are in honor

 of his baptism.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room following the morning service today.  This class

 covers various subject matter pertaining to our Christian walk.

NEXT WEEK, MAY 17, 2015

 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the Bible in a Year Series. 

 The Mission Team that recently returned from a work project at

 Jackson County Ministries in Kentucky will share their experience.

 

EARTHQUAKE IN NEPAL – You will have the opportunity to give to

 to support the relief efforts in Nepal through the RCA Global Mission. 

 We will take a SPECIAL OFFERING next week. In the coming

 days and weeks they plan to assist 100,000+ people with supplies,

 shelter, clean water and sanitation, and other health and education

 programs. 

 

Y-LIFE will meet.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Continue to be in prayer for Joan Patterson 

 at the Laurels of Hudsonville.  Visitors are welcome!  Wilma

 Kamphuis will undergo hip surgery on Wednesday, May 13. For all

 other Prayer Requests and Praise Reports, see the Prayer Line in your

 bulletin today.

 First VBS Information Meeting will be May 17th following the

 service in the Fellowship hall.

 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

WORLD MISSION BANKS - Donations will be used to send the

 gospel to those who have never heard through the use of “The

 Treasure”.  This is an audio Bible that is solar powered and available

 in different languages.  If you have filled your bank and would like to

 start another, please pick one up from the narthex table!  We will

 continue this collection through Pentecost, May 24.

 

PLEASE SAVE salsa size jars, tall or squatty, for a GEMS craft project. 

 You may bring them to the church kitchen.  Thanks!

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God today for the baptism of Will Vander Wal.  We pray for Tripp and Katie as they teach him to know and love Jesus.
  • We thank God today for our Mothers, grandmothers, and other women who hold a special place in our hearts.
  • We think today of our families near and far.  We thank God for the many loving relationships that we have.
  • We pray today for our children worshipping in Discovery Kidz. We are thankful today for all the teachers and volunteers here at Grace.  We are so thankful of their time, energy and talents.
  • Remember Heather Dood in your prayers as she begins to prepare for a very active week of VBS this summer.  We pray for those who are considering volunteering and also the neighborhood children that will receive an invitation.
  • We thank and praise God today for new growth, nice weather, and warm sunshine.
  • Please keep Wilma Kamphuis in your prayers as she prepares for surgery on Wednesday.
  • We pray for Joan Patterson now at Laurels of Hudsonville.  We pray that she will continue to regain her strength and will return to her home soon.
  • We remember Mac & Mary Mc Alary in our prayers this week.  We pray that Mary’s pain will subside and she will continue to grow stronger. 
  • Thank you for remembering Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet, in your prayers. She will soon begin radiation.  Please pray that they will be able to restrain any cancer left in her system. 
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer.
  • Continue to keep Lola De Young and her parents, Matt & Lindsey, in your prayers. 
  • We pray today for Jeff and Chelsea Lampen as they prepare to serve in Romania.
