ELDERS INVITATION – If you have questions, concerns, joys, or
prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available
in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.

 TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY OUR MISSION/WORK TEAM that traveled to Cedar Rapids, Iowa
last week will share their experience and pictures with us. See the
insert in the bulletin with a few extra details of their week.

9:50 am – 11:15 am DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3 years –
5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

TRAINING FOR THE NEXT DISCOVERY KIDZ ROTATION “Jesus feeds the
5000” will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the morning
service.

2:30 PM MEET at CHURCH to ride together to the WESTOWN ADVENTURE
This will be a chance to explore “The Other Way” Ministries. An
interactive adventure is planned. You will have the opportunity to
see the 7 properties, hear from staff and neighbors, get a taste of
what it’s like to live, learn, work, grow, and play at “The Other Way”,
and experience firsthand the work God is doing in Westown!
This will take the place of our evening service.

11:30 am – 12:10 pm THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in
the Consistory Room. You are welcome to join them!

6:30 PM DEACON MEETING will be held in the chapel just prior to the
Consistory Meeting.
7:00 PM MISSION/OUTREACH TEAM AND CONSISTORY will meet.

12:00 NOON – THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE’S MAY MEETING will be a
potluck lunch at the home of Gladys Kessel, 2177 Creekside
Drive, Byron Center. Beverage and dessert will be furnished.

4:30 – 8:00 PM CLUB 3:16 will be held at the WYOMING LIBRARY.
The film “To Save A Life” will be shown. All Middle School
aged youth and above are invited to join them. No Club at the
Crossing.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Tena De Vink underwent outpatient surgery on
Thursday, May 13th. See the Prayers & Praise Line for all prayer
requests and praise reports.

CONGRATULATIONS to Bill & Ruth Tacoma who are celebrating their
50th Wedding Anniversary on May 20. The Grace Congregation
is invited to attend an OPEN HOUSE in their honor on Saturday,
May 22, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at
Grace.

 NEXT WEEK – MAY 23, 2010
 PENTECOST SUNDAY

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue with his series of messages to
apply the Heidelberg Catechism to every day faith. The message
next week, “I BELIEVE IN BAPTISM” is based on Genesis 17:1-14,
Colossians 2:11-15, Matthew 19:13-15. The Discovery Kidz will share
with us what they learned in the “Jesus is Baptized” rotation.

6:00 PM JOINT PENTECOST SERVICE to be held at Faith Reformed
Church, 618 – 32nd Street, Wyoming.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

SIGN UPS are taking place for the SUMMER DISCOVERY KIDS. These are
only 3 week rotations. We will be studying the FRUITS OF THE
SPIRIT. Sign up in the narthex, or see Heather if you have any
questions.

NEEDED FOR VBS – Used or new flat sheets. You can put your donations
on at the youth desk on the lower level.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for CRAN
HILL RANCH. This offering will be received on May 30th.

 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – MARKETPLACE 29 AD
 June 15 – 18 6:00 – 7:45 pm.

Please sign up in the narthex if you can help. This week a couple of

“job descriptions” are printed for you to consider:

DRAMA
The Dramatizations will take place in the midst of the ordinary
life of Marketplace to give the children a total experience.
You will act out a short script each day of an event that
happened during Jesus Time.

SET-UP CREW
Assist with setting up each tribal class room and all
their props needed as well as setting up marketplace.

 We thank and praise God for the work done through our Mission Team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We pray for the people of Cedar Rapids as they continue to rebuild following the devastating flooding. We are so thankful for safe travels and energy to complete all the jobs required while the team was there.
 We thank God for Bill & Ruth Tacoma today – for their work here at Grace and in the community. We celebrate 50 years of marriage with them.
 We continue to pray for all those recovering from illnesses, surgeries or hospitalization.
 We thank you God for your healing powers and love for us.
 We pray for Tena De Vink following surgery.
 Please pray for Sandy Farris’ father, Glenn Moore.
 Please pray also for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Keep Ruth Mikula, mother of Marjean Tibbets, in your prayers.
 Please pray for Julie and her husband, friends of Anna Borkowski, The husband is dealing with many health concerns.
