TODAY AT GRACE
TODAY the Mission team that went to New Orleans will share with the
congregation some of the highlights of their work experience.

CHILDREN & WORSHIP
All Children will meet together through the summer
months in the Fellowship Hall. Worship Leaders this week
are Darrell Delaney and Pat Ter Beek.
SUNDAY SCHOOL – This is the LAST WEEK for Sunday School for the
summer months! The 2nd half of the movie FIREPROOF will be shown
in the Chapel for all those interested.
4:30 PM THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE will meet in the Consistory
Room. See Wes Dekker if you have any questions.
PRAYERS & PRAISE
HEALTH CONCERNS – Al Grimm was able to return to his home on
Thursday. Christy Kleymeer’s tumor on her Thyroid is NOT
cancerous. Praise God! Surgery will still be required and will take
place on May 26. See Prayers & Praise Line for all prayer requests
and praise reports.

NEXT WEEK – MAY 24, 2009
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series “Defining Mission,
Defining Moment” with the message “To Samaria”. Due to the
Holiday weekend there will not be an evening service at Grace next
SCRAPBOOKERS…AN ALL DAY CROP is planned for May 30 from 9 am –
9 pm at the Crossing. Everyone is welcome to come! Bring a dish to
pass. If you have any questions, see Heather Dood.
THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for the
GRACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. This fund has been established to
provide encouragement and financial assistance to High School
graduates who are going on to college. Our support and prayers,
from their church family, helps them as they seek self improvement
opportunities enabling God to work His will in their respective lives.
The applicants for this scholarship must be either a baptized or
communicant member of Grace Reformed Church. This special
offering will be received on May 31, which is GRADUATION SUNDAY!
CHURCH PICNIC – Mark your calendars and save the date for the Church
Picnic on June 17 at Pinery Park.
VBS MEETING!! There will be a meeting right after church on May 31 for
all volunteers, especially CREW LEADERS. Shari will give you all
the materials you will need!
FOOD DONATIONS – There is a list on the narthex table with food items
that are needed for snack time at VBS. Please take a look and see if
you can donate anything to the cause. This really helps cut down on
food expense! Questions…see Tymie Boeve.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to provide transportation for General Synod
delegates from June 1 – June 6 from the Gerald Ford Airport to Hope
College. Please contact Julie Ploeg at the Deacon’s Center at 616-

• Our Sunday School teachers and ALL the volunteers at Grace
• Our many blessings
• The Family Network of Wyoming Pantry as they move to 44th St CRC
• The members at 44th St CRC who seek new church homes
• Those looking for work in this tough job market
• Our summer VBS Crocodile Dock and the children who will come
• Rick & Laura Marshall as they await news of the May 15 date in the
Ethiopian court~ If all goes well, they hope to travel in mid June to
pick up their new son, Kaleab and bring him home.
• Geri Ruis as she recovers from heart surgery
• Gretchen Stauffer, daughter of Jane Duthler, who is undergoing
treatment for lung cancer
• Friends and family serving in the military: Doug Desmarais, Frank
Senko, Matthew Halverson (Lucille Sytsema’s grandson), Dave
