TODAY the team that went to Mobile in April to work for Habitat
for Humanity will share with the congregation some of the highlights
of their work experience. During the service itself, they will give a
brief narration with slides, but after the service the team will be in
the narthex to share a larger number of slides and stories. Please
stop by and hear their stories and enjoy a cookie! Also, the June
Galaxy will contain stories and testimonies of how this mission trip
changed them personally. Thank you to all of you for your prayers
and support (and all those who baked goodies!).

Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Erika Wigent and Danielle Vining.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leaders Lynda Ver Merris & Janna Emelander.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL –TODAY is the last day of classes
for the summer months.

Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room.
“Faith in the Cinema” – Meet in the Chapel.
“Daniel – Spiritual Living in a Secular World” – Meet in Kia’s office.

THE CHILDREN& YOUTH will end the Sunday School season with a
celebration at the Crossing during the Sunday School hour. Children
meet in the Fellowship Hall and you will be brought to the Crossing.


 This is the last week of regular Club 3:16.

4:30 PM PRAYER GROUP meets in Pastor Rick’s office.

 NEXT SUNDAY – MAY 25, 2008 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series “When God Comes to
Church” with the message is “We Stand Firm!” We will not have an
evening worship service at Grace. 


HEALTH CONCERNS – Pat Cook is now home under hospice care after
suffering a stroke earlier in the week. See the Prayers & Praise Line
for other prayer concerns.


SPECIAL OFFERING – Our Special Offering for the month of May is
designated for the GRACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. This offering will be
received on Graduation Sunday which is June 1.

2008 GRADUATES – All High School and College Graduates please
contact Sandy Gort (667-9763). She is collecting information for the
next Galaxy which will be distributed on June 1 (Graduation Sunday).

KITCHEN CLEANING! Wednesday, June 18 – 9AM - ? Come out and help
clean our church kitchen. (We’ll go out to lunch afterwards!) Anyone
willing to help contact Tymie at 531-5700.

THE 202nd RCA GENERAL SYNOD will be held on the campus of Hope
College June 4-10, 2008. They are looking for a variety of volunteers
to serve their transportation needs. Volunteers are needed to
transport delegates to and from the airport, and also Greeters for the
information tables at the airport. If you can help, contact Juel
Grevenstuk at 616-698-7071 ext. 216 or by email 


PLACE! Can you help as a Crew Leader, Crafts, Set Up, Registration,
Games, Drama …there is a spot for everyone! Check out the list of
volunteer needs on the narthex table and find something that fits for

CREW LEADERS! There will be a Crew Leader meeting on Sunday June 1
following the morning worship service.

FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED for VBS – This year as in years past we are
asking for donations for the VBS snack. On the narthex table is a list
of items needed. Sign up if you can help out with a donation!

GAME NEEDS: There is a list of items needed for the games on the
narthex table. Won’t you please check it out and see if there is
anything you have that we can borrow, or maybe purchase some of
the items…Thanks! See Ray Zondervan if you have any questions.

• Pat Cook now under hospice care
• Carolyn Baker as she continues her healing process
• John De Vries, father of Lisa Braendle, who was diagnosed with
cancer and will undergo surgery on July 2
• Rick & Laura Marshall as they go through the adoption process
• Doug & Keri Desmarais (nee Boeve) as Doug prepares to leave for
Japan on May 20 and Keri prepares to join him as soon as she is able
• Tarah Fron and the IICD Team as they work in Kaoma, Zambia
