9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

THANK YOU this morning to Shari Dood, Pastor Rick Oppenhuizen,

 Tinna VanWyk, Ernst Otto, and Rowin Mulder for leading praise

 time with the World Version of “How Great is Our God”!

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet

 in the Consistory room following the morning worship service. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 

2:30 – 6:00 PM Y-LIFE – Meet at Church! This is the last meeting

 9:00 AM Connections - SENIOR COFFEE CONNECTION

 Retirees gather for coffee and cookies and neighborly

 conversation. 

 3:45 – 5:45 PM CLUB 3:16 for Grades 3 & 4.

 6:00 – 7:30 PM FRIENDS & FELLOWSHIP Bible Study Group

 for young adults will meet. CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED!

 

THURSDAY, MAY 23, 2013

 6:00 PM CONNECTIONS FAMILY will gather at the Crossing.

 

NEXT WEEK, MAY 26, 2013

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

 

10:00 AM Pastor Rick will conclude the series “COME ON UP” with

 the message “God Builders” from Matthew 7:24-29. No Discovery

 Kidz class will be held. Kids are welcome to sit with their families in

 the sanctuary.

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for

 the “One Sunday Pentecost Offering”. This is a RCA offering

 for new churches in our Classis. Our offering will be designated for

 CONNECTIONS.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

COOKIE DONATIONS NEEDED! Once again we will have coffee

 and cookies on the patio following the morning service during the

 summer months. If you would be willing to bake cookies for this

 time, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex. You will be called to

 schedule your time. If you have any questions, please see Tymie

 Boeve. REMINDER…our church is Peanut Free!

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – June 10-13

 “BACKSTAGE WITH THE BIBLE” - A couple more HELPERS  

 are needed. If you can help for just one day, please see Heather! 

 FOOD/MATERIAL Donations are listed in the narthex. Please

 sign up if you are able to donate and how many. All donations MUST

 be brought to the kitchen by June 1st! THANK YOU.

 EMPTY PAPER TOWEL tubes are needed for VBS! Please drop

 off at youth desk or kitchen. 100 are needed!!

 

GALAXY – The next Galaxy will soon be published. Please have

 articles to Sandy Gort or Pat Ter Beek by Wednesday, May 29. You

 may also place your articles in the bin attached to the file cabinet in

 the main office.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank and praise God today for the Gift of the Holy Spirit!
  • We pray today for the students in our church, at Club, and Connections as their school year is coming to an end and summer plans are being made.
  • We thank and praise God today for Springtime…new growth, nice weather, warm sunshine.
  • Keep Joan Emaus and Phyllis Vander Sloot in your prayers as they continue with rehab following surgery.
  • Please continue to keep Rowin Mulder’s brother and family in your prayers.

  • Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Jane Duthler, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
