TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting at Faith Reformed

 Church tonight!  Rev. Harvey Hertz will share the message.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Cecil Martens will lead our service and share

 the message.  For our evening worship service we will have a

 combined service at Beverly Reformed Church. 

 

COINS FOR KIDS – Our SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of

 May is designated for Coins for Kids, Grand Rapids Right to Life. 

 Profits benefit Grand Rapids Right to Life and local pregnancy

 agencies that provide material support to women and families facing

 unplanned pregnancies.  Small change can make a BIG difference! 

 We will collect the bottles next week, or you can turn them into the

 office prior to that.

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Sandy Workman is at Clark Home on

 Franklin Street SE. She took a fall and broke her collar bone and is

 badly bruised.  Please pray for her as she is in quite a bit of pain.

 She is expected to be there for at least another week.  Bob Tofferi is at

 Mary Free Bed for a time of strengthening. Please continue to keep

 him in your prayers.  See the Prayers & Praise Line for all other

 prayer requests and praise reports.

 

CONGRATULATIONS to Joshua Sawyer who graduated from Great

 Lakes Naval Station on May 20.  He starts A school following

 graduation. This will last approximately 88 weeks. He is transferring

 across the street for A school.  He is currently a fireman 2nd class. 

 Please continue to lift Josh up in your prayers.

 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

CHURCH CLEAN UP – Our Grace Youth Groups are sponsoring a 

 clean up day!  Mark your calendar for Wednesday, June 1 from 6:30 

 – 9:00 pm.  Many and all are welcome!!  Bring rakes and gloves.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • Thank you Jesus for a song in our heart.  May you hear our praise as we sing.
  • We are thankful today for the gift of music.  We are thankful for our choir and praise team.
  • We praise God for the many volunteers at Grace.  We are so appreciative for all those who give of their time and talents.
  • We thank God for a new season…for new growth and warm sunshine.  For God’s creation of the beauty that surrounds us.
  • We pray for our Discovery Kidz worshipping downstairs.  We pray for Heather as she leads them.
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections. We pray for the youth and adults that attend each week.
  • Remember Sandy Workman in your prayers.  Pray for freedom from the pain she is experiencing and rapid healing. 
  • We pray today for Bob Tofferi at Mary Free Bed.  We pray that he may experience strengthening.
  • Please continue to pray for Pastor Rick’s mother.  She is now at Maple Creek Lodge for a time of rehab and healing. 
  • Continue to lift up Josh Sawyer in prayer as he is at the Great Lakes Naval Station for A School. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she undergoes chemotherapy.
  • We pray for Sally Herrema as she continues therapy on her leg.
  • We continue to keep Tymie Boeve in our prayers.  We pray for understanding, encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We ask for lots of prayers for Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet.  She has had a setback due to recent surgery.  She is at Holland Hospital. 
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Betty Figueroa, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
