ELDERS INVITATION - If you have questions, concerns, joys, or
prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available
in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.


Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Erika Wigent and Danielle Vining.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leaders Lynda Ver Merris and Janna Emelander.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES have concluded for the summer months.

NO EVENING SERVICE will be held at Grace tonight.

4:30 PM PRAYER GROUP meets in Pastor Rick’s office.

 NEXT WEEK – JUNE 1, 2008

NEXT SUNDAY we will honor our 2008 High School Graduates. Pastor
Rick will continue the series “When God Comes to Church” with the
message is “We Watch Diligently!”

SPECIAL OFFERING – Our Special Offering for the month of May is
designated for the GRACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. This fund has been
established to provide encouragement and financial assistance to
high school graduates who are going on to college. Our support and
prayers helps them as they seek self-improvement opportunities
enabling God to work His will in their respective lives. The
applicants for this scholarship must be either a baptized or
communicant member of Grace Reformed Church. This offering will
be received next week on Graduation Sunday.

SUNDAYS AT SIX - Pastor Rick will continue the study entitled “From the
Old to the New to You” where we discover Christ in the Old
Testament and in our lives as well. 


HEALTH CONCERNS – See the Prayers & Praise Line for all the prayer
concerns and praise reports.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Peter Cook and family
upon the homegoing of his wife, Emajean “Pat”, on Tuesday,
May 20th at the age of 93. Pat was a lifelong faithful member of
Grace. Services were held at on Friday with Pastor Rick officiating.

CONGRATULATIONS are extended to Shawn Gerbers in becoming a
licensed candidate for Minister of Word and Sacrament. This
privilege was bestowed upon him by the South Grand Rapids Classis
on Tuesday, May 20 upon the successful completion of his seminary
studies and passing all his classis exams. Please keep Shawn and
Ashley in your prayers as they await God’s placement of them into a
specific place in ministry.

IN APPRECIATION – I want to say a big “Thank You” to the good folks
who worked so hard painting my house! It looks beautiful and
they did a great job. It was truly a blessing that they came to help
me out with such a big job. God bless all of you for being such a

ELDERS & DEACONS – An Elders meeting will be held on Monday, June 2
at 6:30 pm followed by the Consistory meeting at 7:30.

FOUND – AN OLD PICTURE was found in a burgundy jewelry box that
was donated for the recent garage sale. This old picture was found
tucked inside…it may be a keepsake for the owner. Contact the office
(538-3100) if it belongs to you!

“SCHOOL KITS” Service Project for children in impoverished schools,
refugee camps, and other difficult settings in the world. You can help
by sewing cloth school bags and purchasing the specific needed
school items. See Shari Dood if you can help.

CRAN HILL RANCH is in need of volunteers for their Special Needs
Friendship Camp. Friendship camps are scheduled in June, July,
and August. Come for just 1 or all 3. Anyone 18 or older wanting to
serve this special population is encouraged to contact Mal Reeve,

PLEASE JOIN FELLOW CHRISTIANS at the HUB Ministries at Rogers Plaza
on May 27 at 7 PM to pray for a blessing on our Wyoming community
as ACTION (Assisting Challenged Teenagers In Our Neighborhood)

our Wyoming students.

• Carolyn Baker as she continues her healing process
• John De Vries, father of Lisa Braendle, who was diagnosed with
cancer and will undergo surgery on July 2
