DISCOVERY KIDZ will not meet today. Children are invited to join

 their parents in the sanctuary!

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC this morning is presented by Ellie & Mandie

 Dekkinga, granddaughters of Bill & Ruth Tacoma. Our thanks also

 Janet Dekkinga for playing the keyboard for our service today, and

 Ruth Tacoma for playing the piano! We are thankful today for the 3

 generations represented and the talents and testimony you share.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for

 “One Sunday”. “One Sunday” is an RCA Special Pentecost

 Offering for new congregations in our classis and around the globe. 

 The offering received by GRACE will be designated for our

 own church start “CONNECTIONS”. This offering will be

 received this morning.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the Sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and the new church start. All are welcome.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS has concluded! 

 Classes will resume in September.

 

NO EVENING SERVICE will be held tonight!

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue with “THE STORY”. The

 message “THE QUEEN OF BEAUTY AND COURAGE” will be

 shared. Please read Chapter 20 in preparation. We will celebrate

 “Graduation” with our 5th Grade Discovery Kidz. Cake will be served

 in their honor following the service.

 

6:00 PM JOINT SERVICE – We with gather at Faith Reformed

 Church to celebrate Pentecost. Rev Tom Swieringa will be our guest

 speaker and will bring us an update on the One Wyoming Church

 Plants. The Special Offering is designated for “One Wyoming”. 

 

6:00 – 8:00 PM Y-LIFE YEAR END PARTY! Don’t miss it!

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Joan Patterson is showing some

 improvement but continues to be hospitalized at Butterworth. 

 Judy Klein will undergo surgery on Thursday, May 31st. Effie Bolt

 will undergo a heart procedure on Thursday, May 31st. Please keep

 Joan, Judy, and Effie and their families in your prayers this week.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Scott & Julie

 Crane and family upon the death of his sister, Susan, on Thursday,

 May 24th

THE GALAXY will soon be published! The June/July/August Galaxy

 will be out June 3rd. If you have an article to share, please give to Pat

 Ter Beek or Sandy Gort or place it in the bin attached to the file

 cabinet in the main office TODAY.

 

CLOTHING DRIVE for Second Chance Clothing, a ministry of Trinity

 Reformed Church – Today is the last day for donations. Thanks so

 much to all who gave.

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ SUMMER SCHEDULE - There are MANY

 openings still for June, July & August. Please sign up in the narthex if

 you are able to help teach or be a helper. REMEMBER…THIS IS

 JUST A ONE WEEK COMMITMENT!

 

VBS - GO FISH PRAISE

A VBS meeting will be held on Sun., June 10. 

All volunteers are asked to attend!

 The following spots still need to be filled: 

 1 PRAISE Buddy (working one on one with a child that may need a

 little extra help)

 7 PRAISE Helpers (assist the leader moving the kids to areas)

 1 PRAISE Snack Helper (help prep snacks),

 1 PRAISE Screen Operator

 

 PLEASE SIGN UP IN THE NARTHEX ASAP.

 

SNACK ITEMS NEEDED FOR VBS: Fudge Stripe Cookies,

 Marshmallow Fluff, Shoe String Potatoes, Small Pretzel Sticks,

 Cheese Blocks, Dinner Rolls, Mini Marshmallows, String Cheese.

 

NON – FOOD ITEMS NEEDED: White Pillowcases, Wax Paper,

 Marbles, Glue Sticks, Irons (Borrowed), Pie Tins, Dry Beans.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

 

Please pray for wisdom as we seek to grow the Crossing Community beyond the Club 3:16 families.

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

Please call the office if you would like to

share a Prayer Request or a Praise Report.

 

  • We thank God for the freedom we enjoy in this country and the men and women who fought for those freedoms
  • We pray today for Joan Patterson at Butterworth Hospital. May she feel God’s peace and love in a special way today. We pray also for Brian & Sandy Gort today as they tend to her and support her during this difficult time.
  • We pray for those who have recently lost loved ones. In particular we pray today for Scott, Julie, and Timothy Crane. May they feel God’s love surround them and the prayers of their Grace family.
  • Keep Judy Klein and Effie Bolt in your prayers this week as they both undergo surgery on Thursday.
  • Remember Pastor George in your prayers as he continues with his cardio rehab, and regains his strength. We pray for him as he develops ways to reach the neighborhood families. We pray for activities already in the plans for summer “block parties” and other ways to reach the neighborho
  • Keep Carl Kleymeer, father of Larry Kleymeer and Cindy Wylie, in your prayers. He is scheduled for by-pass surgery on Tuesday. 
  • Please keep Samantha Johnson in your prayers. The focus now is on pain management, and healing. She was expected to be able to go home this past weekend! 
  • We thank and praise God for the volunteers who have come forward to help with VBS! We pray that all the spots will be filled and for Heather as she takes care of all the last minute details.
  • Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Mitch Dekker, Brent Wenzel, Adam Simons, Shanna Ten Clay, Justin Roelofs. 
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Curt Boes, Dan De Vries, and Doris Ver Merris.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Anne Hoezee, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris, Mrs Janet Yonkers.
