9:50 am – 11:15 am DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3 years –
5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

TODAY WE WELCOME Rev. George Grevenstuk to our service. He may
look familiar to you as he has been a regular visitor and has played
his guitar with our Praise Team! Thank you, Pastor George, for
ministering to us this Lord’s day.

MINISTRY OF MUSIC is presented by Tinna VanWyk of our congregation.
She is accompanied by Ray Zondervan on the Guitar and Ruth
Tacoma on the Piano. Thanks to all of you for sharing your time and
talents with us this morning!

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for CRAN
HILL RANCH. This offering will be received this morning.

ELDERS INVITATION – If you have questions, concerns, joys, or
prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available
in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.

11:30 am – 12:10 pm THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in
the Consistory Room. You are welcome to join them!

NO EVENING SERVICE will be held at Grace tonight. You are invited to
join the congregation at Beverly Reformed Church for their Memorial
Day service at 6:00 pm.


HEALTH CONCERNS – John De Jong was expected to be able to return to
his home by this weekend. Willie Hiemstra also was expected to be
able to return to her home after knee replacement surgery. See the
Prayer and Praise Line for more prayer requests and praise reports.

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to the Grace members for the cards
and prayers and to Pastor Rick for his visits and prayers at the time
of my surgery. ~Tena DeVink

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will conclude the “NOW I BELIEVE” sermon
series with the message “I BELIEVE THERE’S A FEAST COMING”. We
will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

A GENERAL VBS informational meeting will be held following the
morning service next week. Then on Sunday, June 13 there will be a
meeting for all volunteers in the Fellowship Hall.


MISSION/OUTREACH TEAM will meet this Wednesday, June 2, 7:00 pm at
City Hope Ministries.

PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS are desperately needed for the Family Network
Food Pantry. You can bring your donations to the church kitchen.

SUMMER DISCOVERY KIDZ needs your help! Looking for 2 teachers
every 2 weeks for Art & Games and 2 shepherds for 3 weeks. The
entire summer schedule is on the narthex table. Will you worship
with us this summer?

COOKIES NEEDED! For the summer months coffee/punch and cookies
will be available on the plaza after the morning service. If you would
like to make cookies for this fellowship time, sign up on the sheet in
the narthex.

MISSING – The “COME HOLY SPIRIT” red banner is missing. It was
rolled up and in a box. If you have any idea where it is, please call the
office or Karen Ver Hulst. Thank You!

GALAXY – The summer edition of the Galaxy will soon be published. Are
you a graduate of a college or trade school?? Please email Sandy Gort
with information

CHOIR MEMBERS – SAVE THE DATE! The annual picnic at Paul’s cottage
is planned for Saturday, August 7. Come anytime after 1:00 pm.
Supper is at 5:00 pm. Bring a dish to pass. Sign up in the narthex!

 June 15 – 18 6:00 – 7:45 pm.

REGISTRATION has begun for VBS! Pick up a Registration sheet from
the youth desk downstairs. Registration is due by June 6!


On the Monday before VBS, June 14, we will be setting up the Marketplace tents and getting the Tribes in the Church set up.
Sign up on the narthex table if you can help.


You will roam the Marketplace & Tribes collecting money!

NEEDED - canopy tents for the marketplace. If you have one we can
borrow, see Heather.

We Pray and Trust God
Thank the Lord for all those who have fought to preserve our
freedom as Americans. Praise Him for the opportunity we enjoy and ask that we become more aware of our need for His divine leadership.

Church Plant Prayer Focus
Pray that God will lead us to clarity.
Pray for discernment for the Mission/Outreach Team.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

share a Prayer Request or a Praise Report.

 We Praise God for the many men and women who served in the military in the past and those who serve today. We pray for their families here at home and abroad.
 We pray for Amie Pierce in Fort Sill, Oklahoma training in the Army. May she feel God’s presence with her today.
 We also remember in prayer Doug & Keri (Boeve) Desmarais. Doug is serving with the marines in Japan. Doug & Keri are expecting a baby boy in August.
 Keep John De Jong in your prayers as he begins the healing process.
 Remember Willie Hiemstra as she begins rehab on her knee following replacement surgery.
 Please pray for the family of Lavina Hoekstra, who passed away Monday, May 17 after a long decline due to Alzheimer’s disease. Lavina is the mother of Denny (MAF) & Paul Hoekstra (Talking Bibles International), both missionaries who we have shared in supporting. Harvey & Lavina served as missionaries in Africa for over 30 years. A memorial service was held in California. Cards of comfort can be mailed to Harvey Hoekstra at 710 W. 13th Ave. Apt. D149, Escondido, CA 92025.
 We pray for Heather Dood as she prepares for Marketplace 29 AD.
 Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Keep Ruth Mikula, mother of Marjean Tibbets, in your prayers.
 Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko, Matthew Halverson, Dave Vander Berg, Nick Borkowski.
