9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC this morning is presented by Keith Benthin. 

 Thank you, Keith, for being here and sharing your talents with us this

 morning. 

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet

 in the Consistory room following the morning worship service. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 

A VBS INFORMATIONAL MEETING will be held after the morning

 worship service in the Fellowship Hall. All workers are asked to be

 present. VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL NEEDED! If you are thinking

 about it, please come and get more information on the positions

 available. See Heather if you have any questions.

 

PRACTICE SCHEDULE for tonight’s Music Appreciation service:

 4:00 PM Grace Women’s Chorus 

 4:10 PM Grace Choir 4:50 PM Combined Choirs

 4:35 PM Faith Choir 5:00 PM Praise Team

 

6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION SERVICE. Join us for this

 special night with all the music groups at Grace. The Choir from

 Faith Reformed Church will be participating as well! The men

 & women from the Veterans Facility will be our special guests. 

 Coffee/Punch and cookies will be served in the Fellowship Hall

 following the service!

 

6:45 – 8:00 PM Y-LIFE – for Middle and High School Youth. Meet

 at the Crossing and bring your BIBLE!

 Retirees gather for coffee and cookies and neighborly

 conversation.

 6:00 – 7:30 PM FRIENDS & FELLOWSHIP Bible Study Group

 for young adults will meet. CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED!

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR be at SUNSET Manor for your concert!

 6:00 PM CONNECTIONS FAMILY will gather at the Crossing.

MOTHER’S DAY

 

10:00 AM Pastor Rick will continue the series “COME ON UP” with

 the message “No Worry Warts” from Matthew 6:25-34. We will NOT

 have an evening service next Sunday at Grace!

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Joan Emaus was admitted to the hospital

 with some complications this past week. Phyllis Vander Sloot will

 undergo back surgery on Wednesday, May 8. Also be in prayer for

 Elsie Schilt who is now under hospice care. She has been living in

 Wisconsin near her son for some time now. For all other prayer

 requests and praise reports, see the Prayers & Praise Line in your

 bulletin.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (June 10-13)– BACKSTAGE WITH THE

 BIBLE! There are still a few spots open for Volunteers. Come

 to the meeting today after the service and see where you can help! 

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of May is designated for

 the “One Sunday Pentecost Offering”. This is a RCA offering

 for new churches in our Classis. Our offering will be designated for

 CONNECTIONS.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz…for the worship that takes place downstairs. We pray for Heather Dood as she leads our children. We thank God for Heather and her love and dedication to our kids.
  • Keep Joan Emaus in your prayers as she was hospitalized this week. 
  • Remember Phyllis Vander Sloot in your prayers as she undergoes surgery on Wednesday.
  • We pray today also for Elsie Schilt who is now under hospice care.
  • We pray for volunteers to come forward to work at VBS in June. We pray for Heather as she is preparing the lessons and activities.
  • Please continue to keep Rowin Mulder’s brother and family in your prayers.
  • Continue to remember Keith Benthin’s brother Brian in your prayers. It has been about a year since the bike accident when he suffered serious head injuries.

  • Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Jane Duthler, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
