It is with warmth and joy that we welcome all who have come

 to worship today. May this be a time of encouragement

and inspiration. Please take a moment and sign your

TODAY AT GRACE

 

TODAY we celebrate the sacrament of baptism as Hayden Robert

 Desmarais, son of Doug and Keri Desmarais, is baptized. The

 flowers on the piano are in honor of his baptism.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade can be a part of the Grace Discovery Kidz! Meet

 downstairs by the youth desk.

IN APPRECIATION – Praise God! My shoulder surgery went very

 well. My thanks to Lucille Sytsema for being my driver and staying

 there the entire time. My thanks for all the payers offered for me.

 Thank you for all the beautiful get well cards and the many

 Birthday Cards! I enjoyed each and every one! ~Ann Hoeze

 

 The Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser was not only delicious but a lot of

 fun! Thank you to many of you who donated those delicious salads

 and desserts! Thank you to those who donated other food items to

 our dinner so that the cost of the dinner was almost nothing to us! 

 Because of all your help we were able to collect $1,320.75 to put

 toward our mission trip to Chiapas Mexico. We have now raised

 over $8,500.00! Praise the Lord and thank you Grace Family!

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to John & Della

 Sawyer and family upon the death this week of Della’s mother,

 Margaret Ashton at the age of 77. Services for Margaret were here in

 our sanctuary yesterday with Pastor Rick officiating. Burial will take

 place in Texas.

 

A CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held following the

 morning service on Sunday, November 27. The slate will be

 presented for approval of Elders & Deacons and the proposed budget

 will be presented. 

 The single slate for the upcoming elections is presented as follows:

 DEACONS: Sandy Farris, Eric Wigent

 holiday event! This is a heartwarming story of Aaron, his drum, and

 his beloved animals on a quest to find forgiveness. Think about a

 special child you would like to invite!

Wednesday, December 7, 7:00 PM A special night is being planned for

 our Grace Church family! AL JOHNSON will speak of his real life

 perils as a former paratrooper/OSS Agent and his “behind the lines”

 exploits in France and China during World War II. We will start the

 night off with a PANCAKE SUPPER sponsored by the Victors. 

 This will begin at 5:45 pm, with Choir meeting from 6:15 pm –

 7:00 pm. This will give everyone an opportunity to hear Al Johnson

 speak. Pastor Scott’s class will not meet. Invite a friend and come

 out for this special night!

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Y LIFE MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH will be donating

 “snack bags” to the Kids Food Basket Program for their December

 service project. Some items needed are: quart size zipper lock

 baggies, individual pudding or fruit cup, cracker packs, granola bars,

 raisins (single serving size). Please bring your donations to the youth

 desk prior to Nov. 18th

 

SPECIAL OFFERING for November and Thanksgiving is designated

 for Family Network of Wyoming. Our November offering will be

 received on November 27.

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ next rotation will begin on November 20! Help is

 needed for cooking, games, art and theater. These positions are only

 for 3 weeks. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex, or see Heather.

 

THE HOLIDAYS ARE FAST APPROACHING! Once again we are

 Providing opportunities for you to help those in need!

  • Participate by buying gifts for the 7th Annual Wyoming Christmas Store. This store is set up for low income families of the neighborhood. Parents are able to purchase gifts for their children at ¼ the cost. See your mailbox for more information.
  • Help by purchasing gifts for the “Being the Hands” program that we are once again setting up at DeVos Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, December 14 We are in need of gifts for older youth and adults. Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Bring these gifts to the office opposite the Chapel. 
  • Holiday Baskets – Would you like to provide a family with a Thanksgiving or Christmas Food Basket? (It is required that you include everything for a dinner for the family, but you can choose to give extras.) You can pick up a form to complete on the table in the narthex, or you can go online www.accessofwestmichigan.org If you need help with this, contact Shari.

 

CHICAGO TRIP – There a still a few spots left on the Zion Reformed

 Church bus trip to downtown Chicago. They will leave from

 the parking lot at Zion at 7:00 am sharp on Friday, December 2 and

 return at approximately 11:00 pm. Cost is $35.00 per person. Please

 call Sue Stuk (538-3100 or 532-7729) to reserve your spot.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

 

We praise and thank God today for Pastor George

and his ministry with the Crossing Community.

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

Please call the office if you would like to

share a Prayer Request or a Praise Report.

 

  1. Today we thank and praise God for the baptism of Hayden Desmarais! We pray for Doug & Keri and their family as they seek to raise Hayden to love and serve the Lord.
  2. We pray for comfort today for those who have recently lost loved ones. In particular we pray for the family of Margaret Ashton. We thank God for her life and witness.
  3. We are so thankful today for the many volunteers at Grace.
  4. Keep Pat Ter Beek in your prayers as she fights infection and regains her strength following surgery.
  5. Remember Ron Lankheet in your prayers as he heals and begins therapy following surgery on his shoulder.
  6. We pray for the plans being made for the mission trip to Chiapas….may all the details work out and the fundraisers be successful. 
  7. We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Dan De Vries, brother of Lisa Braendle; Norm Ver Merris, brother of
