Prayers & Praise Line

November 1, 2015

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We pray today for the ministry of Talking Bibles and Mark Hoekstra.  The purpose of Talking Bibles is to give non-readers and the blind access to the Bible in their native language.  Talking Bibles produces audio recordings of translated Scriptures in hundreds of languages. We pray for those who receive these Bibles that they may come to know and love the Lord.
  • We pray for the process of electing new Elders and Deacons.  We pray for those who have been nominated that they may feel called to serve.
  • We pray today for Heather Dood as she leads the Discovery Kidz downstairs, and the other youth activities that take place during the week.  We pray for The Crossing after school program and the families that participate.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.
  • Please remember Marge Veldheer, Shari Dood, and Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers and they recover and regain their strength.
  • Please pray for Pastor Rick’s sister, Deb Stouten, who will undergo heart surgery Thursday for an aneurysm.
  • Thank you for remembering Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet, in your prayers. Please pray that they will be able to restrain any cancer left in her system.
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer.  Also Esther’s sister, Wanda, had a mild stroke and is in need of our prayers.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  Please pray for patience and energy for her family and peace and comfort for Lola.  It will take an average of one year before the new bone marrow is completely engrafted.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
  • Neighborhood Church Ministries is encouraging the community of churches in Wyoming to lift one another up in prayer.  This week we pray for Pastor John West and Southside Vineyard Christian Fellowship.  Let’s join together in this effort to encourage one another and lift one another up in prayer.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week.  Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
