HEALTH CONCERNS – Harvey Steensma will be admitted to
Butteworth Hospital this week to begin chemo treatments. Jim Friar
will undergo surgery in Detroit on Tuesday. When he returns to
Wyoming, he will be at Brookcrest for a time of rehabilitation. See

Join us next Sunday as Pastor Rick will begin a new series of Advent
messages “WHEN HEAVEN CAME DOWN”. See the insert in
your bulletin today for all the details.
OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for November is designated for
MALARIA NETS. As the Wednesday evening Adult Bible study
was studying the lesson on “Caring for the Sick” in the “Becoming a
Good Samaritan” series, they felt led to DO SOMETHING! One of
the fatal four diseases is malaria. There is no vaccine for malaria,
rather the greatest weapon centers on insecticide-treaded bed nets.
This special offering will be received next Sunday.
A CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held following the
morning worship service next Sunday. Election of Elder
and Deacons will be held and the proposed budget will be presented.
LISTED BELOW ARE THE PERSONS who will make up the slate
for the upcoming ELECTION.

6:00 PM COMMUNITY ADVENT SERVICE – Five area churches
will join together at Beverly Reformed Church for this special musical
start to the Advent season. The Special Offering is designated for the
Malaria Net Project our church is taking on.
SPECIAL DATES TO REMEMBER
Wednesday, December 1st, 6:00 pm CADET DINNER! Plan on
attending this dinner prepared by our Cadets! Boys report at 5:30!
Wednesday, December 8 – DRESS REHEARSAL for the Youth
Christmas Program followed by a special BIRTHDAY PARTY
Sunday, December 12 – The DISCOVERY KIDZ will present their
Christmas Program “Sing a Song of Christmas” during the
morning worship service. STILL NEEDED: Adult volunteers for
the program. 2 Shepherds and 2 Wisemen. No speaking parts, just
sitting on stage!
Sunday, December 19 – Our SENIOR CHOIR will present the
Christmas Cantata “Thou Shall Call His Name…JESUS” during
our 10:00 am worship service.
GEMS POINSETTIA SALE! 6” pots with 4 or 5 blooms each. Cost is
$8.50 ea. Orders are due TODAY with delivery on
Sunday November 28. See a GEM or there is an order sheet on the
DISCOVERY KIDZ – The next rotation starts January 9. Cooking,

Help by purchasing gifts for the “Being the Hands” program that we are once again setting up at DeVos Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, December 15 We are in need of gifts for older youth and adults. Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Bring these gifts to the office opposite the Chapel.

Jesus, we just want to thank you for our many blessings; for family and friends, for tables filled with healthy good food, for warm homes and warm clothes to keep us comfortable in the winter, for our church, our Pastor, and church family…most of all, Jesus, we are thankful that you gave your life to pay for our sins, so we can live with you forever!
Please be in prayer for Harvey Steensma as he is hospitalized this week for chemo treatments.
Also keep Jim Friar in your prayers as he undergoes surgery in Ann Arbor this week.
We think today of Lindsey & Matt De Young and their daughters in Tanzania. May they feel your presence in a special way this week of Thanksgiving.
We think today of Lucille Sytsema. Pray for encouragement and strength.
Remember John De Jong as he continues his chemotherapy treatments.
