Prayers & Praise Line

November 23, 2014

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • Thanksgiving week!  We are thankful warm homes, an abundance of good food on our Thanksgiving tables, and family and friends to share the day.  We are most thankful for God’s presence in our lives through the good days as well as the days that cause us much sadness and grief.  We thank God for the gift of his Son and the promise of eternal life.
  • We praise God today for the youth at The Crossing who have asked Jesus into their hearts.  We pray for them as they learn and grow.  We also pray for Heather Dood as she leads the Crossing activities.  We are so thankful for the volunteers who give of their time and energy each week!
  • Continue to keep the following members of our Grace family in your prayers following surgery or hospitalization:  Ken Wylie, Judy Klein, Roger Vander Sloot, and Elaine Martin.
  • Please remember Chad Zondervan, father of Ray, in your prayers following surgery.
  • We continue to lift up Earl & Clare Reifel and the people they serve in West Africa as they battle the effects of the Ebola crisis there.
  • Continue to keep Lola De Young and her parents, Matt & Lindsey, in your prayers.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  We think of them during this holiday season as many of them celebrate far from family and friends.  In particular we pray today for Amie Pierce serving in Kuwait.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
  • NEIGHBORHOOD CHURCH MINISTRIES is encouraging the community of churches in Wyoming to lift one another up in prayer.  This week we pray for the Wyoming Park United Methodist.  Let’s join together in this community effort.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
