Five area churches will join together at Beverly Reformed Church
tonight for this special musical start to the Advent season.
Grace Choir…please meet at Beverly at 4:45 pm for practice.


9:50 am – 11:15 am DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages
3 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

A CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held following the
morning worship service today. Elections will be held, the 2011
Proposed Budget will be presented and other church business will be
discussed. Written reports from Pastor George Grevenstuk (Club
3:16 Director), Heather Dood (Children & Youth Coordinator), and
Shari Dood (Director of Outreach and Compassion Ministries) are
available from the sound board.

POINSETTIA are here for all those who placed an order. Please pick
your flower up in the office opposite the Chapel on the South side of
the church. Checks can be made payable to Grace Reformed Church
GEMS. Thank you for your support!


HEALTH CONCERNS – Harvey Steensma was hospitalized to begin
chemo treatments this past week. Keep Harvey in your prayers as he
continues with chemo and radiation. Jim Friar underwent surgery in
Detroit on Tuesday, November 23rd. He is expected to go to
Brookcrest for a time of rehabilitation. See the Prayer and Praise Line
for all the prayer requests and praise reports.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jacob Wohlgemuth for being the top sub
seller for Victors with a whopping 116 sold! Thank you for all your

Wednesday, December 8 – DRESS REHEARSAL for the Youth
Christmas Program followed by a special BIRTHDAY PARTY
for JESUS!

Sunday, December 12 – The DISCOVERY KIDZ will present their
Christmas Program “Sing a Song of Christmas” during the
morning worship service. STILL NEEDED: Adult volunteers for
the program. 2 Shepherds and 2 Wisemen. No speaking parts, just
sitting on stage!

Sunday, December 19 – Our SENIOR CHOIR will present the
Christmas Cantata “Thou Shall Call His Name…JESUS” during
our 10:00 am worship service.


DISCOVERY KIDZ – The next rotation starts January 9. Cooking,
drama, games, theater, and shepherds still needed! See Heather if
you can help, or sign up on the narthex table.

 Wyoming Christmas Store – December 11. The tags on the tree are almost gone! Thank You! Please bring in your gifts for these children by December 5.
 YOU can help with the Christmas Store on Saturday, Dec. 11, or with the set up on Thursday, Dec. 9. See the Sign up sheet in the narthex for ways you can help.
 Help by purchasing gifts for the “Being the Hands” program that we are once again setting up at DeVos Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, December 15 We are in need of gifts for older youth and adults. Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Bring these gifts to the office opposite the Chapel.
 Holiday Baskets – Would you like to provide a family with a Christmas Food Basket? (It is required that you include everything for a Christmas dinner for the family, but you can choose to give extras.) You can pick up a form to complete on the table in the narthex, or you can go online If you need help with this, contact Shari. Deadline is Nov. 30!

GRACE FAMILY CHRISTMAS TREE – This year we are decorating
our Grace Christmas tree with ornaments collected from YOU!
Would you like to donate a special/favorite ornament from your
family tree? It will be returned to you when the tree is taken down.
Inserted in the bulletin today is a postcard. Fill out that card and
post it on the bulletin board in the narthex to share with the
congregation. If you have any questions, see Robin Zondervan.

 We thank God today for Heather Dood and Pastor George and the work they do with our children and the children of the neighborhood.
 We are so thankful to God for the service of our Elders & Deacons.
 We thank God today for Pastor Rick and Donna. We pray for them as they serve God here at Grace church.
 We pray for opportunities this Christmas season to touch a life. We are so thankful for the work of Shari Dood, and the many volunteers that will work at the Christmas Store, and Being the Hands at De Vos Children’s hospital.
 Please be in prayer for Harvey Steensma as he continues with chemo and radiation treatments.
 Also keep Jim Friar in your prayers as he begins rehab at Brookcrest.
 We think today of Lucille Sytsema and John De Jong. Pray for encouragement and strength.
 Keep Dick & Ruth Locke’s daughter Amee in your prayers as she has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and is considering treatment options.
 Prayers are requested for Ruth Ver Merris’s son, Larry, age 55, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
 Keep Linda Hoezee, daughter in law of Ann Hoezee, in your prayers as she is undergoing chemotherapy.
 Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko, Dave Vander Berg.
 Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs Margaret Peterson, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Anne Hoezee, Mrs Janet Yonkers
