TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ for kids ages 3 years – 5th

 grade meets downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today.  Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin.  You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room after the morning service. They cover various

 matters using the Sunday School Guide.  You are welcome to join in!

 

PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

4:30 – 8:30 PM Y-LIFE We have been invited to a special youth

 service with many of our area youth groups. Meet at the Crossing and

 we will ride together. Students may be picked up at 8:30 pm. Dinner

 is included.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting with our sister churches

 tonight at Faith Reformed.  Pastor Rick will share the message:

 “Passing the Torch” I, II Timothy & Titus.

NEXT WEEK, OCTOBER 29, 2017

 

NEXT SUNDAY Heather Dood will be leading our service and sharing

 the message.  Her Commissioned Pastor studies are complete and

 now she is waiting for Classis exams.  Coming next will be her

 Commissioning Service.  Please keep Heather in your prayers as she

 prepares for these exams and also manages a very busy Children’s

 ministry work load! 

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of October is designated

 for ACCESS.  This offering will be received next Sunday.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX - For our evening service we will be meeting back

 at Faith Reformed Church.  Pastor Bruce Osbeck will share the

 message.

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS:  Abbey Licari underwent back surgery Friday,

 October 20.  Reece Wigent underwent surgery on Friday on a broken

 forearm which was injured while playing football.  Linda Kraft is

 home after undergoing knee replacement surgery on October 17. 

 Amie Pierce is doing well following back surgery.  Please keep all

 these members and their families in your prayers this upcoming week.

 For all other praise reports and prayer concerns, see the prayers and

 praise line in your bulletin today.

 

IN APPRECIATION: Dear Grace Family: Thank you for the visits,

 cards and prayers; thank you to Pastor Rick for his visits as well as

 I have been on this long journey through the hospitalization, rehab

 and recovery.  It is all very much appreciated! ~Bill Ver Hulst

 held following the morning worship service.  A slate with Elder &

 Deacon Nominees will be presented.  The budget for 2018 will be

 presented and other church business will be discussed.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

OUR GEMS are having a fundraiser!  They are selling awesome kitchen

 pans with lids that can be personalized!  Also miscellaneous items

 such as cutting boards, mugs, and other gift items.  These would

 make great Christmas presents!  A brochure is on the narthex table as

 well as order forms.  You can also look online at

 thatsmypan.biz/staceylocey.  Once on the website select our church

 to order from.  Checks can be made payable to Grace Reformed

 Church.  This sale will run through November 1.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We pray as we work through the process of electing Elders and Deacons to serve on the Consistory.
  • Keep Pastor Rick in your prayers as he is on study leave next week.
  • Please pray for the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance as Pastor Rick and Donna and all of us go through these days of transition. 
  • We pray for Heather as she prepares for her final exams and becomes a Commissioned Pastor.
  • Please pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week.  We pray for them as they continue to grow and expand.
  • Please pray for the Search Team as they begin their work.  May the Holy Spirit guide their paths. 
  • We thank God for steady improvement for Bill Ver Hulst and that he was able to return to his home.
  • Please pray for Abbey Licari, Reece Wigent, Linda Kraft, and Amie Pierce as they recover from recent surgery.
  • Keep Rev. Al Schreuder in your prayers as he was recently diagnosed with ALS.
