9:50 am – 11:15 am DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages
3 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

ELDERS INVITATION – If you have questions, concerns, joys, or
prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available
in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the
Consistory room following the morning service.

DIRECTORY PICTURES are being taken in the room opposite the
Chapel this morning.

SUNDAYS AT SIX – Pastor George Grevenstuk will lead our evening
service and share the message. Pastor Rick, as Classis President, will
be presiding at an ordination service for J. Barrett Wernlund at
Fairhaven Ministries.


 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – See the Prayer and Praise Line for all the
prayer requests and praise reports.

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to everyone who helped make the
Club 3:16 event last Sunday so successful! Families stayed at the
Crossing until 2:00 pm playing games and hanging out. We had
approximately 19 Club kids/ families in attendance!

Thank you to all who gave at the Wyoming World Wide
Communion Sunday Service on October 3. After expenses,
$200.00 was given as a gift to Classis Ministries.

 

 CALENDAR OF THE WEEK

MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2010
7:00 PM PRAISE TEAM PRACTICE.

7:00 – 8:00 PM EXERCISE BOOT CAMP – All women are
invited to come out for this exercise class led by Lyndsey
Boeve. Classes will be held on Monday evenings from 7:00 –
8:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Punch cards are available for
$24.00 which will cover 6 classes. You may also “walk-in” for
$5.00/per night. CLASS THIS WEEK: Cardio Sculpt.
Strength training exercises mixed with cardio. A pink
information sheet with the class description is on the narthex
table.

Room. The DVD that goes along with our Sunday Sermon
Series will be shown, followed by discussion.
THE NEW MEMBERS CLASS will meet in the room
opposite the chapel on the south side of the church.

Join us next Sunday as Pastor Rick continues the series “START
BECOMING A GOOD SAMARITAN” with the message:
“HONORING THE POOR”.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of October is designated
for ACCESS (All County Churches Emergency
Support System). For 28 years ACCESS has
been committed to helping those in need in
our community. ACCESS maintains a
network of 100 Food Pantries serving over
7,500 households each month. They also work with congregations to
provide Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets, and coordinate with
the larger community in responding to local disasters. Their
caseworkers are able to work with 300 congregations to provide
money for rent, utilities, transportation and other emergency needs.
They educate the community through Poverty Simulation workshops,
education, advocacy, and training events. This offering with be
received on Sunday morning, October 31st.

6:00 PM REFORMATION SERVICE at FAITH REFORMED
CHURCH (618 – 32nd Street) Pastor Rick, Pastor Bruce Osbeck,
and Pastor Harvey Hertz together will lead this service. This will be
in place of the service at Grace.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

WOMEN’S WINTER COAT NEEDED. If you have a XL women’s
winter coat that you no longer use and would like to donate to
someone in need, call the office 538-3100.

DISCOVERY KIDZ – The next rotation which runs from Nov 14 –
Dec. 5 is in need of volunteers for art and theater. Also two
shepherds are still needed! If you can help, please sign up in the
narthex or see Heather Dood.

WE REALLY NEED EVERYONE’S PARTICIPATION!
Inserted in your bulletin today is a form we would like each family to fill out. If you would like your email or cell
phone listed in this directory, please provide that information. Please either make arrangements

to have your picture taken here at church or submit one. Call Sue Stuk (538-
3100) if you have any questions. Pictures will be will be taken here at
church in the room opposite the chapel TODAY and November 7
from 9:00 – 9:45 am and from 11:30 – Noon and this Wednesday
from 6:45 – 8:00 pm.

YOUTH CHRISTMAS PROGRAM!! Practices will begin in
November on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings from 6:45 –
8:00 pm. All parents and guardians…please be sure your kids come
on Wednesday nights so they can be a part of the program which will
take place on December 12 at 10:00 am! NEEDED for the
Christmas program are 2 females and 2 males for reading parts.
See Heather if interested.

SUB SALE – The Victors (Cadets) are having a sub sale! Subs,
croissants, and cheesy garlic bread is available. To place your order,
see one of the boys, or an order form is on the narthex table. Sale will
end on November 3 with delivery on November 17.

LADIES CRAFT NIGHT – Our next craft night, November 5, you will
have the opportunity to make really cute pillowcases for gifts or for
yourself! In the narthex is a sample pillowcase and a supply list!
Sign up today!

BUS TRIP TO CHICAGO – Friday, December 3, leaving Zion
Reformed Church at 7:00 am and returning at approximately
11:30 pm. Cost is $30.00 which includes coffee & donuts enroute.

 Remember John De Jong as he continues his chemotherapy treatments.
 Prayers are requested for Ruth Ver Merris’s son, Larry, age 55, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

 Following surgery he is actively involved with a treatment plan consisting of both radiation and chemotherapy.
 Keep Linda Hoezee, daughter in law of Ann Hoezee, in your prayers as she is undergoing chemotherapy.
 Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko,
Dave Vander Berg, Nick Borkowski.
