Responsive Reading: Taken from 1 John 4:7-13

L:  Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.

P:  EVERYONE WHO LOVES HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD AND

 KNOWS GOD.

L:  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

P:  THIS IS HOW GOD SHOWED HIS LOVE AMONG US: HE SENT

HIS ONE AND ONLY SON INTO THE WORLD THAT WE

 MIGHT LIVE THROUGH HIM.

L:  This is love:  not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent

his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

P:  SINCE GOD SO LOVED US, WE ALSO OUGHT TO LOVE ONE

 ANOTHER.

L:  No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in

 WELCOME

We joyously welcome you to Grace today!  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.

TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY we welcome Pastor Harvey Heneveld who will lead our services

 this Lord’s day.

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET.  All children ages 3

years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of October is for the

purchase of Water Filtration Systems for those in need in

developing nations, in particular Hatti. Clean water means more

than safe drinking water to women and children, it means time,

freedom, health, and incentive to change their communities.  Clean

and safe water to drink is just a small step away for so many

people.  Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of

diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence,

including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies

aren't strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other

illnesses.  Clean and safe water is a priority!  This special offering will

 be received this morning.

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

an Elder today.  Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

bulletin.  You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

Consistory Room following the morning service today.  This class

covers various subject matter pertaining to our Christian walk.

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.
