It is with warmth and joy that we welcome all who have come

 to worship today. May this be a time of encouragement

and inspiration. Please take a moment and sign your

name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is

passed so we can get to know you better.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade can be a part of the Grace Discovery Kidz! Meet

 downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of October is “Great

 Hour of Sharing” which is a program of Reformed Church World

 Service, which brings new life and hope to God’s children across the

 globe. This offering will be received this morning.

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see Pastor Rick or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register as

 it is passed today.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room following the morning service today.

 

THE NEW MEMBERS CLASS will meet in Pastor Rick’s office.

 

11:30 am – 2:30 pm – SPAGHETTI DINNER in our Fellowship

 Hall. This will be a Mission Trip Fundraiser. Everyone is invited. It

 will be a “come & go” type dinner, serving until 2:30 pm. 

 PLEASE COME AND SHARE YOUR SUPPORT!

 

6:00 PM REFORMATION SUNDAY SERVICE here at Grace. We

 will be joined by our sister churches for this special service. Pastor

 Rick, Pastor Scott Crane, Pastor Bruce Osbeck, and Pastor Harvey

 Hertz will take part.

 GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) for girls in

 grades K – 8th. Meet at the Crossing

 Fellowship Hall!

 Eat at 6 PM, but you may come as early as 5 PM for games

 and fellowship with our neighbors.

 will meet in the Chapel.

 

NEXT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2011

 

NEXT SUNDAY morning we will hold a Commissioning Service for

 Pastor George as our new Church Plant Pastor. Following the service

 cake and coffee will be served in celebration. 

 

6:45 PM Y-LIFE for Middle and High School Youth will be held at the

 Crossing.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Ann Hoezee returned to her home at Crystal

 Springs on Wednesday (Ann will be celebrating her 93rd birthday on

 Thursday, November 3rd!) Pat Ter Beek is now home and recovering

 from her recent surgery. For all other prayer requests and praise

 reports, see the Prayers & Praise Line.

 

IN APPRECIATION - A special thank you to the 9 persons who gave

 up their free Saturday to help at a Habitat for Humanity home. We

 spent the day, which turned out to be great weather, painting outside

 and inside the home. Habitat is hoping that the family, which

 consists of Grandma, Daughter, and 5 children will be able to move

 in before the holidays! It was such a blessing to be able to help in

 this way! 

 

CONGRATULATIONS are extended to Rick & Laura Marshall upon

 the birth of a son, Grant Patrick, born on Tuesday, October 25. Grant

 joins brothers Brendan and Kaleab! We thank God for this precious

 gift of life and pray for His blessings on your family!

 holiday event! This is a heartwarming story of Aaron, his drum, and

 his beloved animals on a quest to find forgiveness. His eventful

 journey ends – and his heart is changed – at a humble stable in

 Bethlehem! Think about a special child you would like to invite!

 

Sunday, November 27 A CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be

 held following the morning worship service. Elections of Elders and

 Deacons will be held and the proposed budget will be presented. 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

GALAXY - It's getting close to that time again.... The next edition of the

 Galaxy will be out on November 6th. If you have an article you wish

 to share, please have it in Sandy Gort’s mailbox, or in the Galaxy box

 in the office by Wednesday. Nov. 2nd.

 

YOUTH CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – Practices will begin today and

 they will also be held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings from 6:45

 – 8:00 pm. Parents…please be sure your kids come on Wednesday

 nights so they can be part of the program which will take place on

 Sunday morning December 11. 

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ next rotation will begin on November 20! Help is

 needed for cooking, art, games, and theater. Also one shepherd is

 needed. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex, or see Heather.

  • Please keep Pastor George & Juel in your prayers as they work in Italy. Pray for safe travels as they return on Wednesday.
  • Keep Pat Ter Beek in your prayers as she recovers following surgery.
  • We are thankful today that Doug Desmarais has returned safely from Japan. We are so thankful for his time of service in the
  •  Navy. 
  • We thank and praise God for the birth of Grant Patrick Marshall. 
  • Please keep Stephen Baumer, a young man with heart concerns and a leg amputation, in your prayers as he has now gone home.
  • We are thankful today that Anna Borkowski’s brother-in-law was able to go home and is doing quite well after being hospitalized.
  • We pray for the plans being made for the mission trip to Chiapas….may all the details work out and the fundraisers be successful. 
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Dan De Vries, brother of Lisa Braendle; 
  • Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Mitch Dekker, Frank Senko, Adam Simons, Dave Vander Berg. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Anne Hoezee, Mrs Janet Yonkers.
