Prayers & Praise Line

October 5, 2014

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God today for the freedom we have in this country to worship our great God.
  • We pray for our Christian brothers and sisters around the world celebrating the Lord’s Supper today.
  • We pray for the leaders of our country.
  • Today we give thanks for this community we live in.  For the many kind and compassionate persons who give of their time and talents to help those in need.
  • We lift up the efforts of UCOM in this community.  We pray for the upcoming ACCESS food drive.
  • We pray for God’s leading as we begin the process of electing persons to serve on our Consistory.
  • Continue to keep Linda Emelander in your prayers as the doctors plan her course of treatment.  Pray for strength and healing.
  • We continue to lift up Earl & Clare Reifel and the people they serve in West Africa as they battle the effects of the Ebola crisis there.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Lola

De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy; Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer; Caitlin, friend of Abbey Licari, diagnosed with Leukemia; Mary De Vries, mother of Lisa Braendle, following surgery to remove a cancerous mass, Rachel Mulder’s father who recently had a stroke, and Austin Wilson, great grandson of Ken Wylie with heart concerns.

  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  In particular we pray for Amie Pierce serving in Kuwait.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink,

Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.

  • NEIGHBORHOOD CHURCH MINISTRIES is encouraging the community of churches in Wyoming to lift one another up in prayer.  Each month they will list a few churches that we all can pray for specifically.  This week we pray for St. Joseph the Worker Parish.  Let’s join together in this effort to encourage one another and lift one another up in prayer.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
