TODAY AT GRACE
TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER WITH
CHRISTIANS AROUND THE WORLD. We invite all those who are
members of Christ’s Church and have found forgiveness of sins in
Him, to participate in this supper. If you are aware of someone who
is not here today, but would like to receive this sacrament, please
contact the church office.

Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leader Darrell Delaney and Greeter Pat Ter Beek.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2007
9:00 AM COUNTY WIDE FOOD DRIVE. Adults and youth are needed
to be part of a carload to pick up food donations in our
neighborhood…both drivers and runners (or walkers), and
sorters. A sign up sheet is in the narthex. The fun begins
with a praise rally in the sanctuary at 9:00 am. Following
the rally, cars go out to get the food. Then volunteers sort
and box the food for the pantries. Most of the work is done
by 1:00 pm, but feel free to pick your own hours to work.
NEXT SUNDAY – OCTOBER 14, 2007
NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series “Connected in
Colossians” with the message “Connected to Our World: Newly
Robed”. We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism.
PRAYERS & PRAISE
HEALTH CONCERNS – Ruth Postema continues to be a patient at
Blodgett Hospital. Gen Kroon is now under Hospice care at the
Laurels of Hudsonville after being hospitalized earlier in the week.

Vande Zande was transferred to the Noordelos Christian Reformed
Church of Holland, MI.
NIKKI PROBST will be leaving Grace to take a position at a church in
Spring Arbor, MI. Today is her last day here at Grace. Please keep
Nikki and Adam in your prayers as they prepare for their wedding,
new home, and as Nikki takes on a new job.

CHILD PROTECTION POLICY - For all those who missed the Child
Protection Policy meeting/training, there will be another one on

GRACE GEMS are gathering items for Operation Shoebox -- personal
hygiene products, small toys, calculators, pens/pencils, hard candy;
shoeboxes and if anyone has spare Christmas wrapping paper. The
GEMS are going to be stuffing and wrapping boxes Wednesday,
November 7th. Donation boxes will be set out next week.
COMMUNITY DAYS at Younkers, Saturday, November 10 beginning at
6:00 am! Our youth are selling coupon books for $5.00. These
booklets contain a $10.00 coupon off an item selling for $10.00 or
more and 8 coupons worth 20% off sale or regular priced items. The
$5.00 cost of these coupon books goes entirely to our youth
group. This is a great opportunity to raise funds for our fall
activities! See Darrell or one of our youth. Thank you for your
HOLIDAY BASKETS – Beginning October 1st through November 30,
ACCESS expects over 7,000 households to register for a Holiday
Basket to help stretch the family budget. Many families are
struggling with the loss of jobs, high gas prices and can’t make ends
meet. You can help! Please contact ACCESS soon if you can provide
a Thanksgiving or Christmas basket - or both. For more information

NEEDED FOR THE DISCOVERY CAFÉ – Donations are being accepted for
the children’s snack during Sunday School. Donations of juice boxes,
cookies, animal crackers, etc. (no chocolate please). You can label
your donations and bring them to the church kitchen. Thank You!!
PRAYER PARTNERS NEEDED! Please check out the Library area and
commit to being a prayer partner for one of our missionaries this
year. We have 11 persons who need our specific prayers. The goal is
to have 10 persons for each missionary. You will receive in
your mailbox any correspondence that comes into the office! It is
really interesting to hear what is happening in these various
countries, and the missionaries are so grateful for your prayers.
LIFE CHAIN SUNDAY –A life chain will be held on 44th Street between
Ivanrest and Breton from 2:00 – 3:30 pm TODAY. You are invited to
join with others to pray for unborn children.
JOB OPPORTUNITY – A part time proofreader with the communication
office of the Reformed Church in America is needed. Must have
excellent proof-reading skills and proficiency in Word. Send resume

COOKIES NEEDED – for the workers at the County Wide Food Drive this
Saturday, October 13. If you can bake cookies, see Tymie Boeve or
ADOPT A GEM – Our GEMS will be up for adoption next Sunday! Here is
your chance to “buy” a GEM for $20.00 (which will pay for their
book and special projects). Then you can connect with your GEM
through cards, notes, prayers……A great way to get to know a special
young lady at Grace!
