HEALTH CONCERNS – Please be in prayer for Josh Sawyer who
under went shoulder surgery on Thursday. For all other prayer

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to Sandy Farris and all her helpers
who worked so hard at the latest Garage and Bake Sale.
Thank you also to those of you who brought baked goods and
donated furniture, clothes, and other household items. $600.00
was collected that day which brings our total for the Chiapas
Mexico Mission trip fund to over $7,200.00. There’s still a ways to
go, but praise God with us that we have come this far…and we trust
HE will continue to bless us! Thank you again!
Thank you so much to everyone who donated candy, or came out to
Lamar Park for the Pumpkin Path activity last night. I really

VICTORS FUNDRAISER – The boys are selling “Snack Favorites”
now through October 19th. Lots of good snacks (candies, chocolates
and cheeses) are available for only $5.00 per package. All money
raised will go toward the boy’s shirts and any “extras” throughout the
year. See one of the boys or there is an order sheet on the narthex
CHIAPAS MISSION TRIP - A meeting of anyone interested in
helping with the next Chiapas Mexico fundraiser please meet at
7:30 on Wednesday, Oct. 12 in the chapel. We will also discuss flight
information and financial issues. It’s important that those 12 persons
going on the trip should try to make the meeting, or call Shari to get
results of the meeting.
GRACE VAN TRIP to Birch Run, Frankenmuth, and Bronners!
Saturday, October 29 leaving church at 7:30 am. We will stop on the
way for a quick breakfast. Dinner is planned for 6:00 pm at Zenders
in Frankenmuth. Cost is $10.00 per person plus your cost for meals.
OUR SPECIAL OFFERING FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
IS “Great Hour of Sharing” which is a program of
Reformed Church World Service, which brings new life and
hope to God’s children across the globe. This year’s theme is
‘Sharing Brings Joy”, based on 2 Corinthians 9:8 “God is able to
provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always
having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every
One of the recent areas RCWS is addressing is the African hunger
crisis, due to severe drought, in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and
Sudan. Recently, Hurricane Irene has resulted in flooding and other
damage which has devastated homes and churches along the US East
Coast….RCWS will assess the situation and provide financial help as
they are able. This special offering will be received on October 30.
LOCAL Habitat for Humanity BUILD! A work group from
Grace will work on these homes on Saturday, October 22. Some
jobs include demolition, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and
landscaping opportunities. Sign up in the narthex if interested
CHICAGO TRIP – Zion Reformed Church as once again invited us to
join them in a bus trip to downtown Chicago. They will leave from
the parking lot at Zion at 7:00 am sharp on Friday, December 2 and
return at approximately 11:00 pm. Cost is $35.00 per person. Please
