TODAY AT GRACE
 
THIS MORNING Pastor Rick will begin a new series of messages titled
 “Core Values for Church and Life” ~ a series of sermons on our non-
 negotibles.  See the insert in your bulletin today for all the details. 
 Join us downstairs in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the
 service this morning for the FALL EDUCATION FAIR.  Information
 will be presented on all the opportunities available for both youth
 and adults this fall season. 
 
THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the Consistory Room.
 
SUNDAY’S AT SIX - Join us in the CHAPEL for the evening worship
 service.  Pastor Rick will begin a fall series “Where Sin and Sacred
 Meet ~ A Biblical Perspective on the Middle East”.  A time of
 discussion will follow the message.
 
ALASKA INFORMATIONAL MEETING - On July 21 – 31, 2007 a group from
 Grace will be traveling to Alaska for a Spiritual & Leadership
 Development trip.  If you would like to hear more, please attend one
 of the following mandatory informational meetings:

(this time will coincide with the Indeed! meeting for youth

HEALTH CONCERNS – Curt Boes returned home (and to work!)
 following hospitalization last week.  See the Prayers & Praise Line
 today for all the Prayer Requests and Praise Reports.
 
IN APPRECIATION – Thank you for your recent special offering taken for
 the Bible League.  The $472.00 that was donated was used to
 purchase 7,489 Bibles!  God’s Word is like a powerful sword that
 cuts through deception and brings light into darkness.  Your
 partnership is making a difference in lives throughout the world!
 
NEXT SUNDAY – SEPTEMBER 17, 2006
 
NEXT SUNDAY all classes for adults and youth will begin!  Pastor Rick will
 continue with the series “Core Values for Church and Life” with the
 message “The Standard of Scriptural Standards”. 
 
SUNDAYS AT SIX – Pastor Rick will share the message “UR of the
 Chaldeans Covenant”.  Discussion will follow the message.

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
HELP NEEDED!!
 NURSERY WORKERS FOR WEDNESDAY EVENINGS.  ADULTS and HIGH
 SCHOOL YOUTH are needed.  Please call Linda Emelander if you can
 help, or sign up on the sheet in the narthex.
 
 A PRESCHOOL TEACHER is still needed for the 1 & 3 Wednesdays of
 the month from September – December.  Please see Sue Stuk or call
 the office (538-3100) if you can help.
 
PROMISE KEEPERS CONVENTION coming this weekend!  See Ray
 Zondervan for more info.
 
THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of September is designated for
 ACCESS (All Area Churches Emergency Support System).  This
 special collection will be received September 24th.
 
BELONGING CLASS (New Member Class) – Explore what it means to
 belong to Jesus Christ and His Church.  If you want to learn more
 about the Reformed Church, or, if you would like to make Profession
 of Faith, you will want to become part of this 6 week class that will
 begin this September 24.
 
CORRECTION – THE LADIES CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS date is TUESDAY,
 DECEMBER 5!  The date was incorrect in the last issue of the Galaxy.
 
 
CADETS – BOYS IN GRADES 1-8 – Cadets will kick off the season with a
 special activity for boys (parents are invited as well)!  Join us
 Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  We will meet at the
 Crossing for Pizza then head off for a mystery activity.  Following this
 1st kick off week, we will meet at the regular time of 6:45 – 8:00 pm.
 
NEEDED FOR CHILDRENS SUNDAY SCHOOL – Please save empty soup
 cans (washed and labels removed if possible) for a craft project on
 October 1st.  They can be brought to the church kitchen.  ALSO
 NEEDED ASAP are paper grocery bags
 
A LIST OF SNACK ITEMS needed for the children’s Sunday School will be
 available at the Education Fair today.  Any donations would be
 appreciated.
