TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ for kids ages 3 years – 5th

 grade meets downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

THE TRANSITION TEAM will meet in the Chapel following the

 service this morning.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room after the morning service. They cover various

 matters using the Sunday School Guide.  You are welcome to join in!

 

PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting with our sister churches

 tonight at Faith Reformed.  Pastor Rick will share the message:

 “CLEAN UP YOUR ACT: I, II CORINTHIANS”.

HEALTH CONCERNS:  Lucille Sytsema is home following knee

 replacement surgery.  Please keep her in your prayers as she begins

 the healing process and therapy.  For all other praise reports and

 Grades 3 - 6.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER – PIZZA NIGHT

Come out and enjoy dinner and a time of

fellowship prior to classes.

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE.

 6:45 – 8:00 PM

 GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) for girls in

 grades K – 8th.  Meet in the Choir Room.

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th

 BE BIG – For Preschool children.  Meet in the Nursery!

NEXT WEEK, SEPTEMBER 24, 2017

 

NEXT SUNDAY – Pastor Rick will share the message “First Love

 Completes a Rich Relationship”.  We will meet at Faith Reformed

 Church for our 6:00 pm evening service.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of September is designated

 for the GIDEONS.  This offering will be received next Sunday.

 This is for our church family and the neighborhood.  Cran Hill will be

 here with the rock wall, Critter Barn, balloon creations, pig roast! 

 Lots of fun activities!  SIGN UP TODAY if you can volunteer to

 help!

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

A SPECIAL OFFERING for HURRICANE RELIEF will be

 received on Sunday, October 1 which is World Wide Communion

 Sunday.  Our offerings will be designated for RCA GLOBAL

 MISSION who is teaming up with World Renew Disaster Response

 Services to provide recovery and rebuilding services for people most

 affected by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. If you would like to donate,

 and will not be here on October 1st, you may designated it on your

 regular offering envelope.  This offering will be in addition to our

 scheduled monthly special offerings.

 

VOLUNTEER desperately needed for the Crossing afterschool

 program on Wednesdays from 2:45 – 3:45 pm.  Also a VAN

 DRIVER needed for November and December. See Heather

 TODAY or sign up on the sheet in the narthex. 

 

A SEARCH COMMITTEE assigned to look for a new Pastor for Grace

 is being formed.  Please see or call (915-2577) John Sawyer if you

 would be interested in being a part of this committee.

 

CONNECTIONS is looking to buy a good USED Caravan. Pastor

 George's Jeep has been a great blessing for moving block party

 trailers and transporting youth for activities and making weekly

 supply trips to Feeding America.  We continue to be grateful for

 occasional use of the Grace passenger vans. Please talk with Pastor

 George if you have a lead on a good used vehicle that would work for

 passengers, towing and supply transport. Our provisions for families

 and Connections meals are dependent on stocking up when supplies

 are available.

Prayers & Praise Line

September 17, 2017

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

May the light of God surround you.

May the Love of God enfold you. 

May the power of God protect you.

May God place his healing hands upon you

and heal you quickly. 

May the presence of God watch over you…

wherever you are God is.

  • We pray for all the victims of the recent hurricanes.  May they feel God’s presence and love now and in the days ahead.
  • Please pray for the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance as Pastor Rick and Donna and all of us go through these days of transition. 
  • We pray for Heather as she prepares for Discovery Kidz sessions, fall events, and her final exams as she works toward becoming a Commissioned Pastor.
  • Please pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week.  We pray for them as they continue to grow and expand.
  • We remember then in prayer as they have begun meeting for a Sunday worship service in the Chapel at Grace.
  • Please pray for the Transition team as they continue their work.  Also for the Search Committee as they are forming a team to look for a new pastor.
  • We pray for Lucille Sytsema following her knee replacement surgery.
  • Continuing prayers for Bill Ver Hulst, Jerry Hendrickson, and Ken Wylie.
