CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leader Heather Dood and Greeter Pat Ter Beek.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leader Lynda Ver Merris & Greeter Chelsea Boeve.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
“Jesus in the Movies” – The life of Jesus in three major Hollywood
Films. Brad Class will lead this group in the Chapel.
“Surrendering: Your Life for God’s Pleasure” – This Contiguous
Connections Bible Study Group meets each week during the Sunday
School hour in the main room at The Crossing.

BELONGING – This class is for all High School students and anyone else
who would like to know what it means to really BELONG! Pastor
Rick will lead this class at the Crossing.

SUNDAY’S AT SIX - Join us in the CHAPEL for the evening worship
service. A time of discussion will follow the message.

5:00 PM HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP meet at the Crossing to go to
Remembrance Ref. Church for the Silver Ring Thing. Cost $5.00
entry and $15.00 if you wish to purchase a ring.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Ade Peterson is now at Brookcrest in Grandville.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to:
Bob & Lynda Ver Merris and family upon the death of their father,
Casey Ver Merrris, on Tuesday, September 18 at the age of 93.
Services were held Friday with Pastor Rick officiating.

The family of Gertrude Kerkstra who passed away on Tuesday,
September 18 at the age of 92. Services were held on Saturday with
Pastor Rick officiating.

 We praise God for their long lives, witness and
 faithful membership at Grace for so many years.

 NEXT SUNDAY – SEPTEMBER 30, 2007

NEXT SUNDAY morning Pastor Rick will continue the series Connected
in Colossians with the message: CONNECTED TO ONE ANOTHER:
FIRMLY ROOTED from Colossians 2:6-23. At the close of the morning
service NOMINATIONS FOR ELDERS & DEACONS will be received.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of September is designated for
Western Theological Seminary. This offering will take the place of
the designated amount that has been in our yearly budget in the past.

6:00 PM NEXT SUNDAY the plan is to join together for a light supper here
at Grace then leave at 7:00 pm to go to the FAMILY NETWORK
OF WYOMING 1st ANNUAL BENEFIT CONCERT which begins at 7:30 pm.
The concert will take place at Grace Bible College, 1011 Aldon SW.
The concert will feature The Singing Hims and Tommee Profitt. Join
us for this evening of praise and thankful worship!

Saturday, October 27, 7:00 AM – FELLOWSHIP TEAM SHOPPING TRIP to
BIRCH RUN/FRANKENMUTH. We will take the church vans. Cost is
$5.00 which will cover doughnuts on the way and gas. Sign up in the
narthex!


 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

COMMUNITY DAYS at Younkers, Saturday, November 10 beginning at
6:00 am! Our youth are selling coupon books for $5.00. These
booklets contain a $10.00 coupon off an item selling for $10.00 or
more and 8 coupons worth 20% off sale or regular priced items. The
$5.00 cost of these coupon books goes entirely to our youth
group. This is a great opportunity to raise funds for our fall
activities! See Darrell or one of our youth. Thank you for your
support!

CADET HAPPENINGS!
Cadets in Grades 4-8 Chuckwagon Campout Weekend at the Allegan
Cadet Campground on October 5 & 6. We will leave church at
6:00 pm on Friday and return around 3:00 pm Saturday.
Jr. Cadets in Grades 1-3 Cookout Night at Counselor Rick Veldheer’s
house on Wednesday, October 10. Jr. Cadets will enjoy hot dogs and
snacks. Meet at church at 5:45 pm and we will ride together.

LIGHT BULB SALE – The Cadets are selling light bulbs. Many sizes and
types are available. See a Cadet or Counselor, or there are order
sheets on the narthex table.

DISCOVERY CAFÉ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – One or two persons who would
be willing to make sure there are snacks and have them set out for
the children in Sunday School. See Darrell if you can help.

PRAYER PARTNERS NEEDED! Please check out the Library area and
commit to being a prayer partner for one of our missionaries this
year. We have 11 persons who need our specific prayers. The goal is
to have 10 persons for each missionary. (This will replace the
existing prayer partners from the Ministry Fair 2 years ago, so please
sign up again.) The reason to sign up is so that you can receive in
your mailbox any correspondence that comes into the office! It is
really interesting to hear what is happening in these various
countries, and the missionaries are so grateful for your prayers.

NURSERY WORKERS NEEDED during the Sunday School hour! If you can
help out, see or call Linda Emelander at 534-6612.


D & W SHOPPING DAYS
D & W will donate 3% of our purchases back to our youth programs
when we shop D & W on September 23-29. It’s easy-all you have to
do is provide our code 95688 there are no sign ups or coupons
required! Other shopping days include October 21-27 and November
18 – 24.
