ELDERS INVITATION - If you have questions, concerns, joys, or
prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available
in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.

 TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY as you leave the sanctuary at the close of the morning service
your NOMINATIONS FOR THE OFFICE OF ELDER & DEACON will be
received. Nomination slips are provided in today’s bulletin.

CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leader Heather Dood and Greeter Pat Ter Beek.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leader Lynda Ver Merris & Greeter Chelsea Boeve.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of September is designated for
Western Theological Seminary. This offering will take the place of
the designated amount that has been in our yearly budget in the past.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
“Jesus in the Movies” – The life of Jesus in three major Hollywood
Films. Brad Class will lead this group in the Chapel.
“Surrendering: Your Life for God’s Pleasure” – This Contiguous
Connections Bible Study Group meets each week during the Sunday
School hour in the main room at The Crossing.

6:00 PM – Join us for a light supper here at Grace then leave at 7:00 pm
to go to the FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING 1st ANNUAL BENEFIT
CONCERT which begins at 7:30 pm. The concert will take place at
Grace Bible College, 1011 Aldon SW. The concert will feature The
Singing Hims and Tommee Profitt.

6:00 PM Cadets in Grades 4-8 Chuckwagon Campout Weekend at
the Allegan Cadet Campground. Meet at church. We will
return around 3:00 pm Saturday.

 NEXT WEEK – OCTOBER 7, 2007 
 WORLD WIDE COMMUNION SUNDAY

NEXT SUNDAY we will celebrate communion with Christians around the
World on World Wide Communion Sunday. 

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Ruth Postema was hospitalized earlier this week
to undergo testing. Ade Peterson was able to return to his home on
Thursday. See the Prayers & Praise Line for all the other praise
reports and prayer concerns.

IN APPRECIATION –
NIKKI PROBST will be leaving Grace to take a position at a church in
Spring Arbor, MI. As many of you know, Nikki is getting married on
November 10. Her future husband, Adam, lives and works in
Jackson, MI. Her last day with us at Grace is October 7. Please keep
Nikki and Adam in your prayers as they prepare for their wedding,
new home, and as Nikki takes on a new job.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

FELLOWSHIP TEAM SHOPPING TRIP to BIRCH RUN/FRANKENMUTH
Saturday, October 27, 7:00 AM. We will take the church vans. Cost
is $5.00 which will cover doughnuts on the way and gas. Sign up in
the narthex!

COMMUNITY DAYS at Younkers, Saturday, November 10 beginning at
6:00 am! Our youth are selling coupon books for $5.00. These
booklets contain a $10.00 coupon off an item selling for $10.00 or
more and 8 coupons worth 20% off sale or regular priced items. The
$5.00 cost of these coupon books goes entirely to our youth
group. This is a great opportunity to raise funds for our fall
activities! See Darrell or one of our youth. Thank you for your
support!

CADET HAPPENINGS!
Jr. Cadets in Grades 1-3 Cookout Night at Counselor Rick Veldheer’s
house on Wednesday, October 10. Jr. Cadets will enjoy hot dogs and
snacks. Meet at church at 5:45 pm and we will ride together.

LIGHT BULB SALE – The Cadets are selling light bulbs. Many sizes and
types are available. See a Cadet or Counselor, or there are order
sheets on the narthex table.

A SERIES OF HYMNSINGS will be held at Eighth Reformed Church, 841
Burton in Wyoming at 3:00 in the afternoon on the following
Sundays: TODAY, October 28, Nov. 25, and Dec. 9. All are welcome.

HOLIDAY BASKETS – Beginning October 1st through November 30,
ACCESS expects over 7,000 households to register for a Holiday
Basket to help stretch the family budget. Many families are
struggling with the loss of jobs, high gas prices and can’t make ends
meet. You can help! Please contact ACCESS soon if you can provide
a Thanksgiving or Christmas basket - or both. For more information
or to sign up, go to the ACCESS web site at

or call the office at 774-2175. If you have any questions, see Shari.

NEEDED FOR THE DISCOVERY CAFÉ – Donations are being accepted for
the children’s snack during Sunday School. Donations of juice boxes,
cookies, animal crackers, etc. (no chocolate please). You can label
your donations and bring them to the church kitchen. Thank You!!

PRAYER PARTNERS NEEDED! Please check out the Library area and
commit to being a prayer partner for one of our missionaries this
year. We have 11 persons who need our specific prayers. The goal is
to have 10 persons for each missionary. You will receive in
your mailbox any correspondence that comes into the office! It is
really interesting to hear what is happening in these various
countries, and the missionaries are so grateful for your prayers.
