Prayers & Praise Line

September 30, 2012

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God today that he is always available, that we can have constant communication with Him in prayer.
  • We praise God for the beauty of the fall season.
  • We thank God today that Christy Kleymeer did not suffer serious injury following a bad car accident this past week. We pray that her healing is quick and complete.
  • We think of those today who are mourning the loss of a loved one. In particular we pray today for Mac & Mary Mc Alary and the family of Marion Oppenhuizen.
  • Lift up Ann Hoezee in your prayers this week as she is hospitalized.
  • Please keep Daniel and the Club 3:16 volunteers in your prayers as they have begin sessions with very large groups of youth.
  • We pray today for Lucille Sytsema as she undergoes rehab at the Laurels of Hudsonville.
  • Remember Willie Hiemstra in your prayers as she continues rehab.
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Curt Boes, Dan De Vries, Brian Benthin
  • Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Mitch Dekker, Brent Wenzel, Adam Simons, Justin Roelofs.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Anne Hoezee, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write

them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church

informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

 Prayers of Praise for:

  • Connections with the neighborhood through our car wash.
  • Continued interest in core team membership.
  • Two small group adult Bible studies.
  • The need for kids helpers for a second 2 BY 2 kids class studying Noah’s Ark.

He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not

hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as

these.” We have an opportunity for adults to simply be available to

help with our new children’s program: “2 BY 2”. It’s a simple lesson

format that teaches children about God’s faithfulness based on the

story of Noah’s Ark. No studying or preparation ahead of time just be

there to support the teachers and help the kids come to Jesus. There is

a sign up sheet on the Narthex table.

 Please pray for:

  • The practice of “Joyful Giving”.
  • Neighbors being called to Connections.
  • New families and individuals joining in God’s plan for Connections.
  • Connections families actively inviting others.
  • Adults to simply be available for children to come to Jesus, to help with our new children’s program: “2 BY 2”.
