Heather Dood,

Commissioned Pastor

Heather and her husband Jayme have been married since 1999. They have three beautiful daughters. Heather has been loving and discipling children and youth at Grace since August of 2009. In July of 2018 she became a Commissioned Pastor. Heather has demonstrated spiritual giftedness and church leadership at Grace Reformed Church. Her calling and competencies have been confirmed. One of Heather's favorite Bible verses is " And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus" Hebrews 12:1-2

RAY ZONDERVAN,

WORSHIP Leader

Ray and his wife Robin have attended Grace since they were married in 2002.  Robin's father, Rick Oppenhuizen, lead Grace as Lead Pastor and Ray's desire to move from engineering into the worship ministry grew over time and his love for combining modern worship music with classic hymns of the faith led him to serve at Grace in the middle of 2020.  Ray and Robin have three energetic boys and live in the Byron Center area.  Ray has a passion for building the worship experience for connecting people with a holy, powerful, and loving God.  Ray grew up just three miles from Grace and loves being in the community he grew up in.  Ray's favorite passage from the Bible is found in the New Testament, Philippians 4:13 that reads, "I can do ALL things through CHRIST, who strengthens me."

Hunter Smith,

Youth Minister Leader

Hunter is from Hamilton, MI and graduated from Grace Christian University with a degree in Youth Ministry in 2019.  He is an outdoorsy kind of guy who loves hunting and fishing.  His favorite Bible verse is John 3:30-31 “He must become greater; I must become less. The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.”

Fred Mc Gary,

Custodial Ministries

I started working at Grace in October 2015, after spending years in many capacities working in ministry. I’ve come to find working at a church to be part of my calling and service to the kingdom. I am a licensed and ordained minister. I count it a blessing and honor to serve as caretaker in the house of the Lord. One of my favorite Bible verses is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13

Sue Stuk,

Secretary

I began working at Grace in May of 1996. I grew up in this neighborhood and have attended Grace since I was a child. In addition to my secretarial duties, I love working with the children and the children’s programs. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren. My favorite bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight”. I consider it a privilege to work and worship here at Grace.
